Sad Sunday...

While yesterday at the cat show was great and nice people gave me more pretty ribbons for looking wonderful, Mummy came home to find that her Mummy in Canada has taken a turn for the worst... She will therefore be taking herself over there to be with her Mummy and Dad at this time, leaving us in to look after D'Boy and Daddy... I'm not sure how much food they will need, and sure hope they don't want to share from my bowl! However, I have promised Mummy to be a good girl and keep them well fed and safe until she can come back home to us...

Those of you who are on FB or Twitter will possibly get to hear from Mummy while she is away, at least in part - she has promised to look after herself (and bring us something nice home - Tigmut'hep's voted for some Honeysuckle Wood!), so please don't worry about her, just purr for our Grammy as she's a wonderful lady and we all love her so very much. However we have had "The Talk" from Mummy and understand that it is probably "Her Time", even if we so wish it wasn't...

Matching Open Class and Best of Breed Ribbons

As you can see both momma Isis and I have been adding purrty ribbons to the ribbon collection here, having come home from our latest cat show with a matched set of Open Class wins and Best of Breed wins too! :) In fact I won all the classes Mummy and Daddy entered me in, so have 2 more slightly smaller purrty red ribbons too! Momma Isis did well too, winning all but one of her classes and then still managing to come 3rd in a very large class of assorted Foreign type cats...

Then towards the end of the show Momma Isis got taken to visit Robert the professional photographer to took her photos a year or so ago, as Royal Canin wanted my momma Isis to have her photo taken for their website as we eats quite a lot of their bikky and she's gained her Champion title now. So that I didn't feel all left out Mummy and Daddy also took me to visit Robert and have my photos done on the same background as my momma had used for her photos this time. So I hopes to be able to show you lots of purrty pictures of me some time next week, once Robert has gotten home from his photographic assignments this week and had a chance to sort everything out and print and post my glossies to Mummy and Daddy - yep you're right I'll be waiting by the door for the postie lady all week next week, until they arrive here! ;)

So as you see it's a wonderful Wednesday, even if I've been told I have to let Mummy get back to her studying... It's sunny here and I'm feeling all bouncy, so having a great game of bounce and pounce with momma Isis and uncle Ramses, plus soon Emma the goggy will come out for her afternoon woof and run around next door and I just loves saying hello to her from the safety of the cat run! :)

Tuesday Thrush Therapy

Well it seems that Thrushy is still in our garden, having turned up there about 4 days ago now, we really love watching him hopping around and pecking at stuff. In fact we like him so much that all of us are spending lots of time in the run watching him, including Ramses who has been (and still is to a lesser extent) very sick in deed...

Mummy thinks that Thrush therapy is probably good for him, as all this thinking about birdies is bound to help perk up his appetite and therefore help him gain back the weight he's lost. Mummy says she thinks he's finally on the mend though so we are all greatly relieved at that and just hope he doesn't suffer any more setbacks on his road back to full health... He really is a lovely brother, so I'm purring lots for him that's for sure! :)

Satistied Sunday

Yes, I'm very satisfied with life today... Yesterday I won my Champion title at the cat show Mummy and Daddy tool me too, even if my dopey daughter Setra wasn't in a fit state to go too. The silly girl went and rendered herself unfit for showing by playing rough with my brother Ramses late last week. The annoying thing is she was sure to have won her Open class too, even if she has no chance of getting Best in Breed over me! ;) I mean I beat a girly cat I know who is already a Champion to get myself another of those purrty Best of Breed medals that this show give you. In fact because of an administrative mix up I even had to beat her to get my 3rd Challenge Certificate to get my new Title! :)

Other than that Mummy and Daddy bought me lots of presents! :) I gotted a little mousie that squeaks if you move it, a purple squidlike Kong toy which has a bell deep inside it and flys a long way when you bat it good and proper! ;) Oh and a rolly ball crunchy dispencer, which really satisfies my urge to clean up and a huge great bench box thingy for the run so I has lots of sitting and sunning space, while they have a place to put some of their garden bits. The nice thing is Mummy and Daddy can both sit on the bench box and I can lay in the middle getting fussed by both of them! :) Yes, all in all I'm very satisfied with my haul and I have some steak promised for my dinner, 'cause Mummy loves me lots and lots...

Well hello boys, Setra here! :) It's certainly been a while since I was last aloud to write my bloggy and as I sure hope you can see I've been doing quite a bit of growing-up in that time... ;)

I mean just looks at me in my cute little 'kini top, don't I looks gorgeous (regardless of what momma Isis says...) and I think pink just might be my colour too! :)

Anyway I has been told to hurry it up as Mummy has to go for an MRI on her dodgy knee in a bit, leaving us to play with the Litter Kwitter we is testing for Your Cats Magazine all on our own... That's right Mummy, I is going to practice my fishin' skills again as soon as you is out of the house iffen I still feel like it! Oh and I is not a bratty teen and iffen you and momma Isis keep saying I am I shall go off and trash your bedroom before having a good sulk, you got that 'k?! However iffen you tell me I is beautiful and gives me all the sweeties I want I shall be good as gold you know... ;) Just thought you'd like to know that, 'k... :)

Tattle Tale Tuesday!

Well it's all kind of busy, but nice here at the moment... Daddy is off work for a few days and he and Mummy have had a sort of mini holiday - thankfully mostly spent with us! :) However they did go and see Bill Bailey Live and so we missed one snuggle night because of him, but since they were home quite early the next day we have decided to forgive them! ;)

They had a lot to celebrate though, as not only was it Daddy's Birthday, but Mummy gotted the results from the first Module of her Feline Studies course back from her tutor and it seems she gotted herself a straight A! So she and Daddy did their usual happy dance... Mummy's now finished Module 2 and is waiting on that being marked, while waiting for the 3rd Module to arrive in the post. This is one I can help her with purrsonally as it's all about feline reproduction, something I'm rather good at you know! ;) I has told Mummy that I is willing to reproduce again for her, but she says she just has to read a lot and write a lot about it and so there is no need for my doing any 'practical' for her... Yes, Mummy this is why I woke you up at 3am and insisted on sitting on your chest and pulling the covers off of you until you fussed me! I demand the right to make myself more cute ickle baby kittens to play with and love... What do you mean I have to wait to later in the year? *pout* What do you mean by saying I can't go back to visit my lovely Solo?! How said he could retire? *double pout* Who's this Howell Dha you're talking about?! You say he carries sorrel and dilute and I can have some ickle blue kittens iffen I feel like it in my next litter!!! Ok Mummy I still loves you bestest of all... ;)

Well everykitty, here's the latest gossip for you... It seems that Mummy's not content with just helping D'boy with his homework or with helping Daddy and his Post Grad studies - on no, she's gone and enrolled in a course that focuses on Feline Reproduction! Maybe it's something to do with my constant moaning about wanting a nice new boyfriend to eer "play with" that's made her think of this... ;)

However it could well mean that I'm a little more restricted over my blogging time, not that having a total chatter box for a daughter hasn't done that to a great extent all ready! ;) Honestly getting little Setra to stop asking questions for 5 minutes is hard at times, she just has to know what everything is and how it all works too... I have to keep telling her over and over things like; "Lego's don't go in the mouth, but are for batting under the furnature!" It's all a little annoying when my mind is preoccupied with thoughts of gorgeous and muscular Abyssinain males... ;) Well that and how to keep ones cool in all this heat we're having (currently 28-30C) and Mummy says it'll be hotter tomorrow, maybe as much as 32 or 33C!

Marvellous Monday!

Honestly this is just the most marvellous Monday ever! I had such an incredible weekend with Mummy, Daddy, D'boy, Unca Pete and Auntie Gina, plus her Mummy too. First of all I was woken up early after a night of snuggling with Momma Isis on Mummy's legs to a very early breakfast and lots of love. Then after I'd eaten some of D'boy's scrambled eggy and he'd gotten himself all ready I gotted to go for a car ride to collect Unca Pete at Jordan's house - she's the kitty Mummy and Daddy kitty sat the other weekend... The we went off on a long car ride and they let me sing all the way and ask if we was there yet a LOT! :)

When at last we was there, I gotted to have a cuddle with a lovely ladyvet called Sue who seemed to know who Mummy and Momma Isis were and who kept telling me how purrty I am - so you just know she's a very smart ladyvet! :)

After that I gotted to have cuddles with Daddy while I had a look around the hall we were in while Mummy and D'boy made up my "show pen" with my white fuzzy snuggly and one of the little white blankets I used when I was a baby, plus one of my fave little litter boxes, water and food. Then I got to sniff lots of other Abys! There was Auntie Mynx, Momma Isis sister and Granny Candy, Momma Isis and Auntie Mynx's Momma and half-uncle Shanty too. Then Auntie Gina arrived and Unca Pete got all mushy on her and I gotted to see Momma Isis' Cousin Baillee (who some of you might know).

Once all the kitties were in and sorted out all the Mummy's and Daddy's left their kitties to go visit with some vet looking people that Mummy says are called Judges. I did mega cuddling with them and once Mummy and Daddy came back from their walk and lunch they found out that I did the purrtiest cuddling of all the little Aby girls of my colour and age group! :) Then the purrty ribbons started arriving and the nice coloured cards with my name on them, this made Mummy squeal with joy nearly as loudly as Auntie Gina who'd come back to find out that Cousin Baillee had done just as well in her colour and age group! :) Then came the big bits of flappy white paper that Mummy got really squeaky about telling her that I'd won lots of Trophies too. All in all I came home with 4 trophies and Baillee gotted 2 of her own as well, one that's really purrty - a bronze of an Aby stretching out after a nap - that's because she was the purttiest Sorrel at the show! :) Sadly there was a really cute usual boy kitten who won the BOB for usual kittens, but since I'd won the best of the girlies I don't really care at all...

Anyways, Mummy does have a few photos of me and some of Cousin Baillee too, but she has to go see a chiropractor now so they'll have to wait as I can't do the camera downloady thingy without her help... But you will get to see them later this week and Mummy says she'll take photos of my Trophy collection too so you can see them! :)

Guess I'd better let Mummy go get her back cracked now or she'll get all grumpy at me... ;)

International Box Day!

Well here I am in a bag with my sister Enta shortly before she left home to go live with her bunny rabbit and family!

Then here are me and my siblings in a light box with momma Isis having a little milk break! ;)

Next is me in my cooler bag keeping nice and warm while showing off my wonderful 8mm long ear tufties! :)

Then there are my big half brothers, Dizzy, Django and Dandy in the penthouse area of our cat condo in the run, that's just as small and tight as any box and lots of fun to hide in!

Then it's all my older half-siblings in momma Isis play tent when they were all cute and newborn! Momma Isis loves tents lots and lots and still likes to play in my new one in the run...

Below is momma Isis when she was not much bigger or older than I am now, sitting on one of our great hidey holes with Tigmut'hep laying in front of her. We all love this hidey hole as Tigmut'hep is too big to fit in it! ;)

As you can see even Uncle Ramses can fit into this great little snuggle spot to get away from Tigmut'hep...

It's not surprising really when Tigmut'hep likes to curl up and sleep on top of us (especially Uncle Ramses) if given the chance! ;)

Though given a box of his own that's big enough for him to get into Tigmut'hep is a pretty agreeable chap! ;)

Well now I'm an only kitten, as not only has my brother Elzar gone off to Italy, but my sister Enta has left now to go live with her family and their bunny rabbit!

So here I am in my Ikea bag pondering the meaning of life and trying to work out how to get Mummy to open her bedroom door, as I quite fancy the idea of napping on her bed with momma Isis and uncle Ramses this afternoon...

The other news is that Mummy has a big cold metal box that works once more and the one she killed off has been taken away. I guess that marks the end of my getting sautéed pork tenderloin for breakfast, roasty chicken for dinner as well as homemade burgers for lunch... Just when I was getting used to all the fine dinning on the meat that was in the old metal box thingy. Oh well Mummy says I can has Sunday roasty with the big cats now and when I go to something called "shows" I can have a whole tin of Applaws to myself while I'm there if I want and share a big tin of it with everykitty when I come home, just like momma Isis does!

Anyway Mummy's looking aweful tired since she had to get up and be all dressed and ready for the 7am delivery of the new big cold metal box, so I think she may just go for a nap and that means I have to be ready to invade her bedroom and stake my claim to a corner of the bed for myself... Oooh and I don't have to sleep downstairs at night anymore I gather, but will be allowed to snuggle with Mummy and Daddy all night if I'm a good girl and don't put the bitey on their toes, like momma Isis used to do! ;) Gosh and there's me thinking that momma Isis was always a good girl... It seems at even 16.5 weeks old you can learn something new about your own momma! ;)

Well I've had a long cuddle with Mummy and a little snuggle with momma Isis and now I guess I have to tell you all the sad news...

Very early yesterday morning, when just the birdies were awake my Great Grandpur Supreme UK Grand Champion Mikkar Giddy Kipper passed away in the arms of his devoted Mum. He was (to date) the only Abyssinian cat to have won the Supreme and teamed with his amazing relaxed attitude he really was an ambasidor for my breed. My Dad will never forget the wonderful cuddle session he had with Kipper when they went to collect momma Isis. Though Kipper was not just a cuddler, oh no he was very much multi-tallented, and could open any door and get into any place he wasn't really allowed to go, an outstanding food theif and all round fun guy!

Mummy says I should be very proud to have his bloodlines in me, which is probably why I think it's about time for my next cuddle break...

Other than that Elzar has arrived in Italy safe and sound and is making himself very much at home there and tomorrow morning my little sister Enta is off to meet her very own bunny rabbit, as she leaves here to start her life with her new family!

As you can see my daughter Setra has taken possession of one of the lunch coolers here... It doesn't seem to matter where Mummy and Daddy hide it, she still keeps finding it and getting inside for a good nap. I have assured Mummy that she will grow out of this having tried hard to get into the cooler bag myself and finding it just too small and uncomfortable! ;)

However until she's too big to get into it, I think they have accepted the fact that it's her bag! Although her hunt for dietary fibre is to be restricted to actual food stuffs apparently! ;)

So until she grows you'd better remember:

No Cheezburger is safe from Setra! ;)

Yes it's me Setra, pinching mummy's blogspot just for now to tell you my latest saying! Both of my Mummy's (the furry one with all the milk and lovely, cuddly food lady Mummy), think I have Uncle Ramses gift of deep thinking, especially for one so young... :)

Setra's 1st saying:

Cat's live in the present, 'cause it often comes in nice boxes with purrty ribbons on!

PS: Uncle Ramses is still not very well, but doesn't seem to be loosing any more weight at the moment. Mummy keeps giving him all his nasty meds though and he's eating a bit more each day, or so it seems... However he's still one very sick kitty! :(

Well the kittens are now 10 weeks old and are busy playing most of the time they're not eating or sleeping, this is great as they let me play too! :) It's nice being the biggest and fastest as I win most of the games! ;) Though the kittens then start changing the rules of the game or changing the game entirely, to something like chase *MY* tail! Ah well I'm still faster and can jump higher than them, so they can't catch me! ;)

Other than playing with the kittens, I've been watching Mummy being very busy writing stuff for magazines and filling in forms too. You see my little son Elzar will be going off to Italy in June to live with a lovely family and a purrty sorrel girl called Olivia, who will be his number 1 wife! He'll be getting a few more wives when he's old enough to take care of them though! ;) I'm sure he'll keep then all very happy though, and he'll get plenty of cuddles from his new Mummy & Daddy as well as their son, just like he gets here from Mummy, Daddy and D'Boy! :)

Little Enta will be staying quite locally to us with a lovely family and their little pet rabbit! I'm sure she's going to love the bunny and I know she's going to love the family as she had a really good cuddle with her new Mummy when they visited and even fell asleep in her arms! :)

So I'm one very content Mummycat, now that I know my babies will have wonderful lives ahead of them - though I'm not sure about being a Grandmummycat by about this time next year! ;) After all I'm far too young and glamerous to be considered a Grandmummy... But I shall certainly enjoy playing with Setra's babies and seeing photos of Elzar's when they start arriving too! :) Now I just have to purr that Mummy gets through all this paperwork soon so I can talk to my friends more often...

Mini me Monday!

Hi everybuddy, my mummy said I could come and say hello to you all today as I'm now a full 8 weeks old! Mummy says I shouldn't try and talk to you while I haz my brudder's tail in my mouth, but I'm sure you can understand me well enough - that and I fink my brudder's tail tastes kinda good right now! ;) Mind you it's not as good as the roasty chicken we had for supper last night...

Talking of roast chickens, I fink we are getting a likle bit more later! :)

Now I fink it's time for me to go play with my little red ball and see if my sisfur's tail tastes good too, after that I fink it'll be time to try mummy's tail! It sure is bigger and jucier than my siblings tails, as is Uncle Ramses tail... ;) The Mummy says I will grow out of this tail fixation in a few months when I get my bog girl teeth through, and that it's this teething thing that makes a kitten wanna chew stuff all the time, even the Mummy's toes! ;)

Well the kittens are now 7 weeks old and are getting pretty big! They are into everything and anything as well as doing there level best to eat Mummy out of house and home! ;) Oh yes they are just like D'Boy, always looking for their next meal... So much so that they all get together and make sure that I am not withholding milk from them a number of times each day, especially before nap time!

They have been pretty good in learning all about hunting toy mousies this past week, although they don't as yet have the all encompassing enthusiasm for the mousies as I do. Mummy tells me this is because I'm a little nutty about mousies... I assure you Mummy, my mousies haven't got any nuts in 'em or on 'em. I should know I've put the bitey on them good and proper many times now! ;) Oh yes there is little quite like putting the bitey on a toy mousie to make me happy! :)

Other than that Mummy fed us all some roast beef last night and the kittens devoured it like a pack of furry Parana! ;) Lastly Mummy's been planting us some more catnip for the cat run, so we'll have a total of 6 different varieties growing in there this summer! :) As you might have guessed my housemate Tigmut'hep is very pleased about this news...

Mummycat Monday...

Well today the kittens turn 6 weeks old and I have decided (with at least some help from Mummy) to give the kittens their "official names" at long last... I also have a BIG announcement to make! :)

Firstly there's the kittens names and exactly what they mean:

Boy is El Zehuti, Zehuti is one of the many names of the Egyptian god Thoth. He's a born mediator who is calm in any situation!

BG is Et Seti-Ra, from the Egyptian god of storms, Set, and his companion Ra the sun god. In addition to this SeTiRa is Hebrew for contradiction, coming from the same root as the word SeTeR, meaning hidden secret. So while both the gods little Setra is named for are depicted as male, together they become contradictory and form a female name that we like to think of as our “little bit of sunshine after the storm”. On top of this as many of you know Storm was an amazing ladycat who battled lymphoma not just once but twice! We were greatly touched by her story... Since our human family has been deeply effected in the past few years by cancer, Daddy loosing his father to it and Mummy's Mum battling it at present I thought we could do with some brightness to help keep things in purrspective! :)

LG is Enta Omri, named for a beautiful Egyptian love song meaning "You are my life" famously sung by the amazing Uum Kulthum, who at her peak could sing from the 2nd octive all the way to somewhere between the 7th and 8th octives! This seems most apt as little Enta would scream higher and louder than any kitten of mine to date, right from a few days old! ;) She is also the sweetest and most loving of little girly cats... :)

Now for the big news:
Setra will be staying with us here and coming out to shows with me and then going on to have kittens of her own when she is big enough and old enough to do so! :) Yes that's right my kitty friends, you will be able to watch Setra grow up in front of your eyes via my bloggy - now isn't that going to be fun!? :)

Mummycat Monday...

Well the weekend was kind of hectic here as the kittens are now so much bigger and far more hungry all the time. However Mummy handed out a few nice new toy mice from our goody bag and much of the frustration has now been taken out on these. Tigmut'hep has even managed to de-tail his one already... He says this proves he's far more stressed out than the rest of us (I put this down to his having finished his Matatabi and it being a little early in the catnip season!)

Ooh taking of catnip, Mummy bought us two new varieties of catnip at the garden centre she visited on Sunday with Daddy and D'Boy! She says she's going to look out for a few new planters for the run and redo all out catnip collection so that it's in one or two nice big trough type pots if she can fine some she likes! :) I do so like sniffing the purrty 'nip plants and laying in the middle of them when it's all hot in the summer...

Anyway right now I'm busy keeping the now 5 week old kittens busy and out of trouble! This is a very difficult task at times... However LG had a good bath this morning as you can see. Boy made the most of Mummy allowing the kittens onto the bed for a bit and had a good stretch out, while BG decided to shock Mummy and pose nicely for a photo! :)

As you can see they've been doing a LOT of growing this past week and are now more like mini cats than ickle babies any more. BG and Boy are having 3 good meals of chicken or turkey a day and LG has decided to start on a mixture of meat and formula all mixed up into a smoothy as she just can't quite face proper dinners yet. However she's been packing on the grams on this mixture and is now happy to accept her meals as well as her visits to the milk bar! ;) So I expect that she'll be on proper dinners like her siblings before much longer, with a few good servings of mothers milk each day, especially at bedtime it's no wonder that all of the kittens are now about 600g's! :)

Oh and before I forget to tell you the kittens gave me a nice tinful of Applaws chicken (my personal favourite dinner) yesterday, as well as LG letting me finish up her milk and meat smoothy when she was all full-up! You've just gotta love the perks of being a mummy some days... :)

Today the kittens are 1 month old, just look at what they've been getting up to. Well more to the point, what BG's been getting up to since she discovered the joys of playing with one of the little toy balls that Tama-Chan and #1 sent over. In fact she's become a little obsessive about it and tends to take it everywhere with her...

As you might notice LG has been working on her modelling career, as she poses so nicely now for every photo. Where as Boy is just happy to cuddle and hug everyone... :)

So as you can see they are all coming along nicely and now that they are walking better and starting to run it's lots of fun, though they still have to learn how to apply the breaks! ;)

Lastly it seems my dear little daughters have both developed a crush on Little "Red", so I have to listen to them talking about him all the time... I don't know how Boy copes with them doing this, at least I have my brother Ramses to talk to when I want some adult cat conversation! Ok, I can listen to Ramses talking about Mummy and chicken! ;)

Happy 1st Birthday Dandy, Delta-Peach, Django and Dizzy

Wow, can you believe that my first babies are now all cats?! It's amazing to see how much they have grown over the year and wonderful to see how well they are looking (above Dandy and Delta-Peach age 1 yr).

While here my latest kittens are turning 3 weeks old and are starting to get a hang of this walking thing! ;) Honestly it's quite amusing to watch them and I've seen Mummy, Daddy and D'Boy giggling quite a bit when one of the kittens does something funny too - though being their mother I have to do my best not to laugh at their efforts - at least while they can see and hear me! ;) So as you can imagine I occasionally have to make a quick exit from the room in order to keep myself from doing so. In fact Ramses finds he has to do the same, so we've made a bit of a game out of it! :) Above you can see BG doing her best to get into a good position for pouncing the camera, where as little LG is a star model and just sits there happily while having her photo taken! Where as Boy keeps trying to walk off every time Mummy tries to take a photo of him, even when asked nicely to stay still or sit. However he's always first in line when cuddles are being handed out and has never been known to be late for dinner at the milk bar and unlike his sisters, he never falls asleep during a meal! He is now therefore a good 20g's heavier than either of his sisters... Well he does seem to have his father's paws on him, so I expect he'll be a big boy when he's all grown up like his half-brothers are! :)

Anyway today I'm a very proud Mummy to all 7 of my babies, whether they are tiny and here or all grown up and off living with their own families! :)

Mummycat Monday...

Well it's hard to believe that the kittens are already 2 weeks old, they've been such good and well behaved little babies that time just flies by... So far they are quite unlike the 3 boys from my last litter better known and the "Escape Committee", these 3 are content just to cuddle, feed and play! :)

This is BG my biggest daughter practising her cute and innocent look, so far she's probably the best of all 3 at this! However Boy is by far the best at posing like a little lion, which reminds me of his half-brother Django... Boy is the strong silent type at present, but this is probably because he is rarely found without a full mouth! ;) Then comes the little one LG... She is as noisy as the others are quiet! Oh yes, this little girl has always got to get the last word in at the moment, I'm quite hoping that she'll grow out of it in time as she has a particularly shrill wail when she's starts up her complaining - there is one thing that's for sure, no one will ever take this little girl for granted! ;)

But for now they're all fast asleep and I think I shall be sensible and join them, before the next round of demands for feeding start up again! ;)

Mommycat Monday...

Well as everykitty might have guessed, it's been a very busy week for me this past one, what with 3 new mouths to feed and all. Not forgetting my usual duties of cleaning out my brother Ramses' ears and squabbling with Tigmut'hep over food and toys, waking Mummy up and depositing furs on Daddy after work! To top it off D'boy has been home all week and Daddy was home for a few days too - they do it to mess with my schedule you know! ;) All the same I manged to get the kittens fed and groomed and did all my jobs too, even if the dropped bikky in the kitchen did have to wait for 2 days for me to catch up on my work. Honestly if only Ramses and Tigmut'hep had been bought up properly that job would not be necessary... *sigh*

So above is my little daughter LG, looking all sweet and angelic for the camera. I have already told her that looking innocent and sweet will get her a long way in this life! ;) However Boy doesn't seem to have taken this on board at all and is constantly caught getting into mischief, mostly down to his insistence that he gets to sleep on top of or in the middle of his sisters and has the right to pull them off what ever nipple they happen to have latched onto if he feels like testing that one for a bit... All in all I'm starting to suspect that he's the trouble maker of the litter. BG is the strong silent type at present, happy just to suckle and sleep, so I wonder if my daughters will ever manage to keep their brother in line...

As you see right now they let Boy walk all over them! ;) However, I have to admit he does look funny having fallen asleep while attempting to get in the middle of his sisters for added warmth! :)

Oh and they've now all doubled their birth weight, so are doing better than their half-siblings did last year. Some of them took up to 9 days to double their birth weight! Maybe I'm producing a better grade of milk this time round?! Maybe this litter are just greedier?! What ever the cause I'm happy they're doing so very well... :)

Sorry for not posting to my bloggy yesterday, but I was busy being in labour and having 3 gorgeous ickle baby kittens! :) Yes, I had my Mummy totally fooled by my big belly, but the kittens were all a good size when born and have been sucking the milk bar dry all night and are now 15g's heavier each! You know Mother's Milk is really good stuff, even if it does seem to make Skeezix all silly and his legs all wobbly! ;)

Ok, so for my finally Mummycat Monday before the kittens are due to arrive, I've caved into popular demand and let Mummy take a photo of my belly with just a week left to go until my kittens arrive! I hope you all enjoy this pose as much as I am currently doing... It sure takes the weight off of your belly resting this way up, as does finding a nicely placed pillow to rest your front half on while your big huge preggy belly rests on your Mummy's bed! I must say I hope that Marie's Mom's found out about these positions too... Her baby girl is due just 5 days after my kittens due date, so she too much be feeling the weight thing by now, though Mummy assurs me that she didn't feel the need to lay on her back on the stairs when she was expecting D'Boy! ;)

Well it's all white outside and I'm glad to be nice and warm indoors at present, with the yummy cooking smells wafting from the kitchen where Mummy's not only cooking a big batch of chilli up for the family, but some beef, heart and liver for me! :) It seems Mummy hit pay dirt at one of the local butchers and can get me lots of yummy meat there, as well as getting us some frozen from the big pet shop we have just 1.1miles from the house... Heck we even got a little roasty pork last night! :) So as you can see the food round here is really good and I'm making the most of it! ;)

Oh yes my belly is growing and with a little under 2 weeks left to go I can feel the ickle baby kittens having a little move around in there too! Last night I lay on Mummy's chest for ages letting her join in the fun of feeling my babies move, I even let Daddy have a gentle feel... It's a great feeling and I have to admit I'm now spending most of my time contemplating my belly and purring to it! :) By next week the kittens movements will be even stronger and I may well let Daddy video tape it again so you can all have a little look at them. Right now it's pretty subtle and you have to either look very closely or rest your hand softly on my belly and wait for about 10-15 mins to feel a bit of a wriggle going on inside... ;) At this rate they're going to be called names like; Wriggler, Fidget, Squirmer & Wiggler! Though I bet Mummy's got some much cooler names for them, 'cause I'm not sure a future big mancat would like to spend his life being called Mr. Wiggle Bottom! ;)

Anyway it's time for a little nap and maybe a paw massage... Mummy's put up the kittens bed for me, so I can make sure it's all organized to my liking before my due date. I gather Marie's Mommy is doing pretty much the same right now and we've been helping Mummy make the little Blurpy Girl some mega kyoot onesies (though without the pattented Tigmut'hep tail hole!) I'll get Mummy to photograph them once they're finished so you can all have a little look at them, I bet you'll be able to tell which is my purrsonal fave straight off! ;)

Update: It's snowing so much here that they've sent D'Boy home to help snuggle me...

Mummycat Monday...

Well it's now less than 3 weeks until my kittens are due and Mummy seems to think I'm well on track to have another 4 kittens from the size and weight I am at present. I do hope she's right as I rather liked having 4 all at once, where as my litter sister Mynx had 5 in the litter she had last summer and found it utterly exhausting and needed a LOT of help from her Mum & Dad to cope with them all to start with. Our big sister Noodle has had 5 once too and thought it was exceptionally hard going, where as 4 seems just purrfect to her... Anyway we'll see if Mummy's guess is right in only a little while now and I'm sure she'd help me out if I needed it! :)

I'll keep it brief today though as Mummy's exhausted as she and Daddy were at a funeral today and have done a lot of driving and the like. I gather this means that they'll be curling up in bed with Ramses and myself far earlier than normal, so even if I do have to cut my blogging short today because of it I shall certainly make the most of the fringe benefits! :)

Well my belly is growing and I've gained a whole 200g's since last Mummycat Monday, so things are going well here and I'm exceedingly content! :)

Yesterday Mummy cooked us a lovely roast chicken, which we shared with the family (after all we're very civilized and considerate cats), I must admit that my brother Ramses did scoff rather a lot of this, but I certainly got a good portion of it too! :) Today Mummy is making a pie full of shepherds I gather, I'm a little concerned about this as I'm pretty sure I've never eaten a shepherd before now - but I'm sure they'll be lovely and tender by the time Mummy's finished with them and hopefully I'll get to test a little of the meat along with my usual dinner... ;) I guess there must be good eating on a shepherd as she says the pie will be big enough to feed the family for 2 days!

Other than that the weekend bought us some much warmer weather than we've had for months, so we all got to go and play in the run for a little while. I hear it will rain today and maybe snow in places, so I guess it's back to the cold again... However it was so nice to have a break in the cold and to be able to have a good sniff of that squirrel at last! He's mighty daring you know and will even come along the fence behind the black bamboo while I'm in the run looking at him if there are peanuts on the bird table... Hopefully he'll eat so many of these that he won't be able to run soon and then I can catch him and play with him for a bit - he looks much more fun than Ramses catnip squirrel and I must say he smells much more interesting too! ;) Though if this plan fails one of Mummy's friends has promised to let us have any bunnies he has going spare when he goes hunting. It is a very long time since we all had fresh bunny... Look I wouldn't want to eat a cute pet one, just a wild one that's become a pest and has been culled - I mean why let good bunny go to waist?! It's just a shame there is no such sport as wild chicken hunting, as I believe my dear brother Ramses would be very keen on that! ;)

Well I have just about 5 weeks to go now until the kittens are due and I'm making the most of my rest time and cuddles with Mummy and my brother Ramses! :) They have both been most supportive over the past few weeks, especially with the sudden and tragic loss of my beloved Sen-Chan... *sigh* Just to have known a mancat like him has been worth the sadness though and I shall do my level best to make sure his dear little sister Tama-Chan goes on to become the ladycat I know she can be! I know he'd have expected that of her, after all he had the most wonderful manners for a mancat! ;) I speak with authority here having shared my home with 2 mancats all my life and them both being messy eaters, who I'm constantly having to clean up after... Until I met Sen-Chan I thought all mancats were like that, but he gave me hope for mancatkind as he was both, gentle and kind as well as far neater than either my dear brother Ramses (who has the excuse of having a few teeth missing) and Tigmut'hep - who's only excuse is that he has a bad case of the munchies (post 'nip abuse hunger pangs) and can't quite remember what he's doing half the time (again down to 'nip abuse I think, rather than him having a seniorcat moment!)

Anyway I'm doing well and my ickle baby kittens are just starting to swell my belly a little, in fact my weight gain is just a little in advance of last time - this means there is a greater chance that I'll either have more kittens than last time or I'll have slightly bigger ones! It's all rather exciting, especially as Marie's Mommy is due just a few days after I am!!! :) Oh yes Marie's Blurpie and my kittens could well share a Birthday even - if so this might well be the same day as Daddy's Mum's Birthday! So you see mid February is going to be a busy time for us here... What's more my second-cousin Baillee could well be going to visit her first real boyfriend Storm by then, which will mean that her Mummy will come to visit with us for an hour or so, on her way home from dropping Baillee off. I so hope that I have some kittens here to show her by then as I know she'd love to see them and I do so love to show my kittens off! :)

Oh well time for another little nap before Mummy has to get ready for her Fizzy-O, you know I really don't know why they call it that as I've licked and licked that shoulder and it doesn't really taste any different than the other one... Maybe I'll have to try it sooner after she gets back to notice any Fizzy-O?! I also think that Mummy may well look for a t-shirt for Tigmut'hep later today when she and Daddy do the weekly food hunting with the D'boy. I think it's very admirable that Mummy and Daddy both try to teach D'Boy about food hunting, although I have noted that Daddy is not allowed to prepare it for eating... I gather this is because he's a little like Tigmut'hep and would scoff the lot before anyone else got a look in, even though Mummy says it's because of something she calls "total incompetence with regard to cooking" - since I understand the word totally to mean "everything" I'm pretty sure I have my own definition correct, in that he'd eat it all, or have to eat it all himself! ;)

Oh how can I put into words the feelings I have at the passing of my sweet and loving boyfriend Sen-Chan at the age of just 16 months? I am utterly grief stricken and the world does not seem quite so bright today...

He was the best of cats and the most loving mancat a girly cat could ever know... It is truly a tragedy and I feel deeply for his sweet little sister Tama-Chan, Tom the woffie and #1 - who must all be suffering right now...

Sleep well my darling boy, until we meet again... For now I must be brave and carry on, so I can be a good mother to the kittens we would have both loved...

Well 2009 looks like being a good year for me! :) Mummy tends to think I'm pregnant and keeps inspecting my belly for signs that I'm "pinking up", 'cause I won't tell her if I am yet! ;) Though I think my milk cravings have been on the increase - well that's my excuse for getting caught drinking most of Dad's milk at bedtime yesterday... Well he shouldn't leave it where I can get to it! Other than stealing milk and helping Mummy read her new book that D'Boy got her for KissMouse it's called "The Devious Book for Cats". So far it's a very good read and highly informative too! :) I've also had fun visiting a few new kitty friends here and one woffie who's very cute and shares my name! :) So why not go visit my new friends Aoises, Beethoven, Crazy Meezer, Jeter Harris (who I've known of for ages, but don't know very well) and Princess Isis the Woffie! All of them have something in common with me, either having the same name, or a Birthday or Gotcha Day around this time of year, so I'm sure they'll be friends for ever now... Oh and my friend and second cousin Baillee has just joined our blogging community, so do drop by and make her feel welcome! Gosh it seems all her family are joining, so please say hello to George and Mo - who's almost a clone of Tigmut'hep to look at! :)

Ok, so I can't hide my purrty pinkness from Mummy any longer and that means my kittens are due on Valentines Day which is just so purrfect as I'm sure you'll all agree! Now off to scoff some celebratory tuna! :)

Well after having a very good KissMouse with Mummy, Daddy, D'Boy, my brother Ramses and our housemate Tigmut'hep and our special guest Daddy's Mum (who Ramses rather liked!), it's time to get back to normal and celebrate my 2nd Birthday today! :) Yes, I feel it's about time I got more presents and extra yummy meals! ;) Not that Mummy's venison, pheasant, partridge and rabbit jelly for us cats on KissMouse Day wasn't the bestest thing we've ever tasted - but there is a time and a place for Applaws chicken too and that time and place is most definatly on my Birthday! :) Not to forget the added perks of having a nice big bowl of cat milk at lunchtime... ;) Oh yes that'll do me quite nicely, between sessions of batting my new 'nip cushion around the house!

Yes, I must admit that life here is sweet and that I'm enjoying all the best that life can offer! Talking of the best I think it's about time I payed a visit to my sweet Sen-Chan Mummy! :)

Well that's it I've decided to tell Mummy it's time to take me to visit Solo. I just can't wait a moment longer, honestly I did start telling her at 3:30am and she's still not taken the hint... What does a whoremoanall girlycat have to do to get her needs dealt with?! Oh what's that Mummy, I have to pack my bags and be ready to leave here in 45 mins!!!! :) Ok, I take back all the bad things I've said and thought for the last few hours - you really are the bestest Mummy ever and I promise to really enjoy myself. Ah, so I'm supposed to be Solo's combined Birthday adn KissMouse present all rolled into one am I?! ;) Oh and if I decide to mate with him today I could have 'ickle baby kittens due on Valentine's Day - well that's just too darn purrfect, I will do my bestest to seduce Solo in that case as Valentine's kittens would be so utterly wonderful! :)

So I'll be away for a few days, but I'm sure Ramses will keep you all up to date with anything interesting that happens around here during that time. Other than that I'm sure Mummy will start my Pregnancy Diary up again on our breeder website, so you can keep informed! :)

Wonderful Wednesday...

Well yesterday wasn't half as good as we'd all hoped... I mean what's the use of having Daddy home only to have him take Mummy off to the Fizzy-O place for a vet man to come and stick a big needle in her and then to add insult to injury, not bring her straight home for some feline therapy?! Oh no he took her our KissMouse shopping for D'boy - I mean what does he want with catnip stockings and toy mice? It just doesn't make any sense to any of us...

However Mummy's come home now and is very pleased that she's found some local area postcards to send to people in the New Year. At long last she is pleased to say she's found a place that always has them in stock and they told her about 1 or 2 other places as well - so she's no longer feeling all crabby about that. Though I don't understand why she thinks other people will be interested in a herd of concrete cows?! While finding this place she's also seen a very "kyoot" coffee mug that is just right for Daddy to take to work, declaring his love for concrete cows - strange I though Daddy loved Abyssinian cats! ;)

With Mummy home today I'm hopeful of an afternoon chance to snuggle with her and have a good old nap. Mummy however says I must run around and play with the boys as that's more likely to bring on my "whoremoanall" feelings than curling up on her bed and snoozing will. I'll have to see about that though, as it's purrty cold and bed keeps calling to me... ;)

Tomorrow D'Boy is going to a lecture with a lot of the 6th Form at his school - Mummy says they're like Grade 12's in Canada. This is mega cool as D'Boy is only 12 yrs old and it's a science lecuture at the local University, given by a Professor from Harvard! This is because D'Boy is very good at science and is a part of the school's Astronomy and Space clubs. He's the only kid in his year to be a member of the Astronomy Club - the rest are over 3 yrs older than him and studying for their GCSE's and A Levels. I guess he'll need to be on his bestest behaviour for that!

The one redeaming feature of Daddy being off with Mummy yesterday was his bringing home a nice big turkey crown for our KissMouse dinner! What do you mean it's not all for us Mummy?! No, silly Mummy you've got that one all wrong... Turkey is for cats, just look at one of the labels on our Bozita - see it says "TURKEY for cats" - now you can't argue with the experts! ;)

Miss Peach is having a tea party today and celebrating her Mommy's Birthday too! I am therefore taking sweet little Tama-Chan (who is on her bestest behaviour) over there with a large plate full of shrimp puffs to help set things up. I trust that every girlykitty will turn up and join in the teaparty and maybe even some of the well behaved mancats might drop by and wish her Mommy a Happy Birthday, while not scoffing every treat in sight! ;)

Here are the first photos of my newest cousin, Julius Maximus Clawdius! He is 18 months old and has just gone to live with my Auntie Lyn and Uncle Jez. He's a very big boy as you can see from these photos - bigger than Tigmut'hep apparently! In fact he's so big Mummy's had to send our Uncle a list of supersized kitty litter trays to look at, the poor boy can't fit into a normal sized one! ;) I guess at least I have one furry family member now who won't say my butt is getting big when I'm pregnant... *giggle*

Here I am wishing for a new book to read this Wednesday! Oh yes I really NEED this Book!!!! You see I am out of good kitty books to read and am planning on being pregnant soon so will need to put my paws up and relax with a good book then and this book about Dewey the Library cat seems to fit the bill purrfectly! :) You can learn more about this great book at Kimo & Sabi's bloggy...

Other than that I have learnt about the existence of a breed of kitty that I didn't know about before today! It seem there is a cat called a T-Rex I'm most impressed by it's cool name and think that it has rather purrty furs too, though of course mine are more purrty and special! ;) It's amazing what cool things you can learn on the internetty thing you know. Currently I am purrsuading Mummy to study my geniology at present she's got back to the 1960's, but I'm hoping she can get further back with all my relatives the thing is it's a growing project in every meaning of the word as for each kitty ancester I have, they had 2 and they in turn had 4, then 8 and so on! Though when Mummy pointed this out I did remind her that I wasn't asking her to look into all my aunties, uncles and cousins too! ;) You've just gotta help your beans stay focused on the job in paw, they're far too easily distracted - no wonder they're no good at mouse hunting! ;)

Talkative Tuesday!

Well so much has been going on since last I put paw to computer it's hard to know where to start... I guess with my Exhibiting at the UK Supreme on Saturday is a good enough place! ;)

As I have mentioned I went to the UK Supreme Cat Show on Saturday and was the first and main Aby to be used in the talk on the breed in general. Showing me off as a wonderful example of type and temperament, with a nice talk from my breeder on the purrty ticking pattens on our furs - being a little lighter than some in the undercoat meant that everyone could see the lighter under furs on me. Though I must admit to sharing my furs around with Daddy as he held me for much of the talk and day in general so that people could come and see me close up and tell me how beautiful I am! I sincerly approved of that bit you know! ;)

Next my friend Baillee's Mum came over squeaking a lot as Baillee had won her 3rd CC and is now a Champion! Baillee is a sorrel girl and quite purrty, so I am very pleased for her, plus her momma cat lives with my big sister Noodle - so she's kinda family! :)

Then I met A.S. Cat in the fur and gave him a good talking to about not appreciating pedigree cats enough! It seems to have worked, well that or he was just mesmerized by my amazing beauty (I understand this can easily happen you know...) because he didn't argue with me one bit! :) I must say he's quite a nice looking mancat, especially for his age (not that my lovely Sen-Chan need worry, there's just no competition that can rival you in my affections!) Anyway A.S. Cat was very sweet and I think someone got a photo of the meeting, hopefully I will get my paws on a copy of this soon so I can share it with you all! :)

When we eventually got home I had a great big bowlful of Applaws chicken with Ramses and Tigmut'hep, while Mummy, Daddy, D'boy and Pete the kitty sitter had fish and chips. The Applaws was so yummy not even Tigs started begging for fish! ;) After that I took myself off to Mummy's corner of the bed and slept lots...

Sunday I did yet more sleeping and a little playing in the run too, even though it was raining most of the day. We also played with the cockerel feather Ramses former owner sent home for him with Mummy. It came off of Ramses fave cockerel! We also got a chicken feather from one of the chickens Ramses used to watch from his stud run - sometimes Ramses missed his chickens you see, although Mummy gets him lots of pigeon feathers it's not quite the same... So we now have some very special feather to play with! :)

Now yesterday we thought was going to be a good day, after all we had Mummy and the house all to ourselves most of the day. Then came the news that we had to go visit Hubert the Vet... Well none of us dislike Hubert, but then again he's a Vet - so it's hard to be sure what to make of him! He's nice to fuss and cuddle with than then the goes and turns on us and sticks needles in us or in my case steals some furs and bloods to do tests on... Though he was gentle and did keep telling me what a pretty girl I am and let me watch him do the lab test on my bloods to show that I'm clear of FIV and FeLV and can therefore go off and breed! This final bit of news is what clinched it for me and I have decided I still quite like Hubert. Ramses even agreed to let Hubert keep all his own bloods in place, which is pretty much a paws up from Ramses for any man - let alone a vet man! ;) Tigmut'hep even decided not to cry or loose control of his bodily functions at the vets, so all in all Mummy is very pleased with everykitty here right now - Oh Mummy doesn't that call for another tin of Applaws?! ;)

Fizzy-O Friday!

Well I certainly don't know what all the fuss about this Fizzy-O thing and Mummy's left shoulder is! I mean I decided to investigate it at 4am and found nothing interesting at all about it... I poked the shoulder, had a darn good sniff and eventually even licked it all over! There is nothing Fizzy at all in the taste or smell of Mummy's shoulder, it was maybe just a little warmer than the rest of her though and felt a little swollen (possibly even sore as she kinda woke up and moaned at me for poking at it). That was just before I started the taste test... The main shoulder just tasted of "Mummy", though when much prodding I did eventually get to try out the arm-pit area too which smelt and tasted a good deal different, kinda floral smelling but unlike any plant I've ever menaced, especially when it came to the taste! ;) I have to admit that by this point Mummy was becoming pretty wakeful and restless so I fled the scene back to the safety of my usual sleeping spot on her toes before I was ushered from the scene like some communal garden type Paparazzi! ;) That's right, nothing worth investigating can be kept from the eyes (or tongue) of this intrepid reporter... :)

We has Squirrel!!!!!!

For many years we have suffered a great deprivation here, one that no amount of manipulating Daddy or purring to Mummy could help with... Yes that most basic of needs for any cat, that of a squirrel of their own. One to plan elaborate attacks on and dream of tasting during the victory celebrations! Oh yes, we may have had doves and a good level of big fat juicy looking wood pigeons to visit the bird table every winter, with a chorus of suicidal frogs being born in our pond every spring, we even had the odd field mouse to watch from the perches in our run, but until yesterday morning we had no squirrel to call our own... :(

It's a hard life being a cat without a squirrel to dream about you know!

Oh yes, but what joy it bought to all of us when yesterday during breakfast that as last we had a squirrel to call our own! As soon as we got past the initial shock and joy, we of course started to dedicate a great deal of time to planning it's demise! ;) So far our planning is going well, we have worked out that the squirrel needs to be tempted down from the apple tree and into our garden. For this we're planning to use a large nut (or Tigmut'hep if we can't find a real nut, after all he's gotta be the next bestest thing!) Then Ramses and I plan to swoop down on squirrel and pounce good and hard. Of course it'll take a lot of training to accomplish this, so for now I'm off to practice my pounces with Ramses, while we leave Tigmut'hep on squirrel watching guard! I'm planning to swat at his tail at regular intervals to make sure he doesn't start sleeping on the job... ;)

Now were did I leave catnip squirrel, I'm sure he needs a good bunny kicking to get me in the mood! :)

Notably, Isis – who describes herself as “a beautiful pedigree female Abyssinian (cat) who lives in Buckinghamshire with her lovely half-brother Ramses who's a sorrel Abyssinian and Tigmut'hep who's big and black and often grumpy” -- his misguided assumption that all pedigree cats … are over-bred and useless. Having spent most of yesterday taking Nana (who's blind) out and about, Mummy had to put her feet up yesterday evening to recover for a bit and decided to listen to one of her favourite silly CD's while I snuggled up with her. This was really the first time I've listened to this CD properly and since I found it so very funny I thought I'd share it with you all - well sometimes us kitties do get the urge to treat our beans to little KissMouse presents... ;)

Since I think the first track from the 1st CD pretty much speaks for itself I though I'd just write down the silly poem for you and let you all have a good giggle! :) The rest of the CD is pretty much just as funny, even if it's not all about cats... My other suggestion of good KissMouse presents for your beans are some of the "Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers" of Marc Gunn!

Life in the Cat's Lane

At first I was sceptical of this first paw account of life with a Chow Chow and a pretty poor excuse of an owner, but soon I found myself really enthralled by it.

You certainly get a good look at the workings of A.S. Cat’s brain as he works out how to use the invading foe (a.k.a. Dog) to his advantage. Not easy when faced with a dog who seems to be at least part cat, I mean it’s curious and very unpredictable for a member of the canine species! Though not once do you feel the need to pity cat (and a good job too and cats HATE pity), after all if Sooty had only but trained his alleged owner properly to start with, none of this would have happened surely…

Having pawed my way through the book, I feel I have learnt a number of valuable life lessons though. Firstly to extract a vow from Mummy, that I can have her committed if she ever so much as mentions the thought of bringing home a Chow! Secondly that given a good deal of training even the most scurrilous of owners or dogs might eventually be reformed. Lastly I am far more appreciative of Mummy now, seeing that she came to me well trained! ;)

The only bone I have to pick with A.S. Cat is over his misguided assumption that all pedigree cats or house cats are over breed and useless. This is far from the truth, especially where Abyssinians are concerned!

This Thursday I've been thinking about what I could try Trick or Treating for! ;) For some reason it keeps coming back to the same few items that I'm most interested in getting my paws on...

Firstly my Malt Kisses, cause they're so darn yummy even if I don't get hairballs I desire all things malt flavoured!

Secondly there's my Malt Paste for the same reason... ;)

Then there's Nurish-UM, good for helping me keep up my strength and energy when I have kittens. I always look forward to this 'cause once more it tastes like Malt! :)

Now before you all start thinking I only ever think about stuffing my face full of Malt Flavoured Treats, my next most desired treat is Applaws Chicken! Oh how totally yummy, moist and chickeny it is. Although I guess at this time of year I really should be asking for their Chicken and Pumpkin flavour! ;)

Oh and never fear that I'd forget a nice bottle of catmilk to help wash it all down! Now, just how big does my goodie bag have to be and how to get Mummy to part with a little of all my faves on the big day?! ;)

Wow, what a great response to my little Competition! I had Mummy put all the names on bits of paper and then put them in a bowl. Then I picked out (and run off with) the bits of paper I wanted most of all - though if I could I'd have let you all win a chance to get your paws on this book as so far I'm rather liking it - in that I'm feeling very sorry for poor A.S. Cat...

The results are as follows:
Sen-Chan - your name tasted really good, but Mummy could still read it! ;)
Kaze, Latte & Chase - it took a while for Mummy to rescue your piece of paper from under the sofa, but you're winners all the same! :)
Skeezix - I was a good girl and didn't yack up your bit of paper, but it did get batted a few times before I'd let Mummy have it back... You win too and will no doubt love the stylish pink and black cover - I'm pretty sure you can find a cute outfit to match it! ;)

Terrific Tuesday Competition Time!

Ok everykitty it's time for a really cool competition here! Since quite a few of you have shown an interest in the book "Life in the Cat's Lane" that I'm reading at present (with a little help from Mummy), the nice Author lady has said I can have 3 copies to offer to my friends who'd also like to review this book by A.S. Cat. If you think you can and would like to read this book in the next few weeks just let me know and make sure that Mummy has your proper mailing address so that she can make sure the books get sent to them...

Just remember that you'll have to put paw to computer and write a review of the book, like it or hate it A.S. Cat needs to know as your feedback is invaluable. Should he really make more time available in which to train his human? Should he give up all hope of ever living a peaceful life again and make an effort to like the strange doggy creature? Or are his gut feelings right and has his human has totally lost the plot?! ;) Be as scathing as you like, just be prepaired to have your review go to print along with a photo of you (just make sure your human remembers to make it a good one and not the one of you after too much nip or a night on the tiles!)

Well I have set myself a new task it seems, with a little help from Mummy I plan to read this fascinating book about a poor cat who's forced to share his house with a dog. What's worse is the dog thinks it's a cat part of the time and I tend to think that his owner isn't a skilled communicator as she doesn't seem to understand poor A.S. Cat's complaints... Well having met her and given her a quick interview it's pretty obvious she doesn't listen properly to A.S. Cat, even if she's quite a nice person! I've started to wonder if she might be related to my poor dear friend Yao-lin's slave as their feline communications skills do seem to be of a rather similar and grossly inferior level... Oh well we shall see as I make my way through this book over the next week or so. Once I've read it all I promise to give you all a proper book review so you can find out what it's all about! :)

Ok time to go drag Mummy off to help me read this, well I do need someone to put the reading light on and turn the pages you know - it's that lack of opposable thumbs thing once more... Dratted evolution

Thwapping on Thurdsay

I've had a wonderful day thwapping my half-brother Ramses today... Oh yes there is little that beats a good thwapping betweens siblings! ;)

So far this has consisted of Ramses burrowing down Mummy's bed and my pouncing on him repeatedly, then once I got him back out of there I gave him a good chase around the house too... Since then we've been playing in the run mostly as I seem to have woken up with loads of energy today and a real desire for pouncing and thwapping! ;)

It's defiantly a tremendous Tuesday today, what with Mummy getting older and all that...

To mark the occasion I decided to give Mummy a nice early wake up call, sitting on her chest and gently poking her in the face with my paws. This is exactly the view that she woke up to - personally I think it's just the best! :) Though I didn't manage to get Ramses bottom into the picture as well, he was trying to weld himself into Mummy's armpit as she woke up to this great view of me to make sure she felt extra wanted... ;)

D'boy got up shortly after I'd woken Mummy up and came in with two lovely birthday cards (with cats on them), one from him and one from Daddy (he'd been hiding them from Mummy) and a couple of new sudoku books to add to her presents she already knew about: new fluffy suede slippers, a very cuddly short hooded dressing gown (perfect for cat cuddling in) and a very pretty new nighty to go along with her fantastic new bed! :)

Mummy then had a lovely breakfast of Croissants and tea. She says she's saving herself for later when Daddy and D'boy are taking her out to dinner at a Japanese Tappanyaki Restaurant - I'm just trying to work out how I can smuggle myself into the restaurant as they have all sorts of yummy sounding meat and fish there! Oh and Mummy has a very posh looking chocolate torte thingy for pudding with a little cream, so if I can't make it to the restaurant I'll just have to settle for cream licking! ;)

Well I have a few new and interesting Facts to share with you all this Friday... Oh yes it's far more interesting here than reading those silly bean "Gossip Columns" ;)

Firstly it's true that I'm taking part in the Catster Coolest Cat Competition this year, with that wonderful shot Mummy got of me climbing the cat run wire just like a great big squirrel - showing I'm more than just a stunning beauty, amazing mother and fantastic investigative journalist! ;) So do please take a moment to vote for me if you can...

Secondly I'd like to introduce you to the lovely Sorrel Aby Man, Solo. Seeing as my love Sen-Chan is not only geographically unavailable to me, but physically so, I've had Mummy looking around for the next best Aby Man to father my next litter of kittens! Oh yes it's big news indeed as Mummy has told me that if I want I can keep one of my daughters from this union at home with me here forever!!! :) So when I go to visit Solo in December, can you all keep your paws crossed that I come home with at least a few daughters in my belly, so I can pick my very favourite one to stay with me and my half-brother Ramses... I do so hope that all you girlycats agree with me over my next choice of mate, he really is quite the mancat you know! ;) *giggle*blush*

The last fact of the day is I was awarded this lovely charge card by Castle and this new brother Timmy. I plan to use it to by myself a really good and stinky catnip fishy at the next cat show we go to and then to buy in lots and lots of yummy Bozita cat meat too, as well as stock up on my Queen bikky at the Supreme where I'm Exhibiting myself to the public at the Abyssinian Cat Association stand in Club Row - so do pop along as say hello to me if you can, if not send your beans to the show and they can bring me lots of nice kitty friend smells to sniff! :)

I'd like to award this to Sen-Chan for being the bestest Boyfriend in the World! As well as to My half-brother Ramses pretty girlfriend Marie, so she can help her Mommy buy lots of things for the pink bean kittens she is expecting in the New Year! :)

Being a budding feline supermodel isn't as easy as it sounds you know... Today I've been trying out a new look and while I rather like it, I don't think I'll be wearing it all the time - well just think of what my hair would look like after a visit to the kitty litter box! ;) Ok maybe that should read, DON'T think what it'd look like! However I do think they've done well to replicate the intricate beauty of each of my furs with this hair purrty blonde and it's great highlights and lowlights...

Oh well it makes a change from my needing a "Candy Stripe" outfit while I work around the clock to make all the family feel better. It seems my tireless devotion as worked wonders and D'boy made it back to school yesterday and today even Daddy managed to leave his sickbed and get back to work - although the vet has put him on yucky steroids until his asthma stops playing up as a result of this nasty case of manflu... Mummy is ok too, even though she had to go and have some of her bloods stolen at the vets this morning before breakfast - though I'm sure if I play my cards right I can have her back in bed for a cuddle soon! ;) I bet Ramses will help me arrange this if I ask nicely... :)

Tremendous Tattle Tail Tuesday!

Well as promised some weeks back following my interview with Yao-lin's pretty slave lady, I have at last completed my investigative report into where Marie, Cassey and Donny have been for the past few months!

To get to the bottom of all this I have been in secret correspondence with Marie for some weeks now and can confidently tell you that Marie now has good reason to suspect that her Mommy hasn't just been eating too many cream cakes!

In the beginning Marie suspected that her Mommy was just very sleepy and then she started to get a little more comfy to sit on too... This continued for a while and got Marie a little worried for a time as in the past her Mommy's been very ill indeed and only because Marie's Big Brave Daddy could help her Mommy, that she get better again! Even so she's got to watch her health closely for the rest of her life... So you see Marie, Donny and Cassey have all been taking turns to keep an eye in their Mommy now so she stays fit and healthy!

Anyway after weeks of worrying Marie, her Mommy came home with something called a sonogram picture, it seems she's in kitten and is now coming up for week 20!!!! :) It'd be so much easier if humans would just "pink up" you know... So when Marie finally told me this, I was able to reassure her that being in kitten made you very tired at times, as well as hungry, and that she needed to help look after her Mommy a lot now. She assured me that she is doing this, but said that it's taking all her spare time as well as Donny and Cassey's. Sadly this is making blogging impossible for now at least and quite possibly for quite some time to come... After all kittens need a lot of care and feeding, even if you only have one at a time and it's all pink and fur less! ;)

So it seems quite likely that Marie's Mommy will be having her big pink people kitten in early to mid February, in the meantime Marie will stay in touch privatly and keep me up to date with it all. :)

I was also wondering if some kitties would like to help me sort out a little package of goodies for the new people kitten once we know if it's a boy or girly one?! I'm not sure if it would like one of the toy mousies my kittens so enjoyed, and it'll be way too young for catnip, but I'm sure a few of us can come up with some good ideas if we ask our Mummies! :)

Things on Thursday

Well I've been helping Mummy tidy up some of my things today and even got her to photograph some of them. Oh yes these are my purrty ribbon things from the cat shows as well as my big shiny medal. So that I looked the part I decided to wear my other shiny thing, yes thanks to the gorgeous and adoring Yao-lin I have the most wonderful Coco Chanel diamond collar! :)
Anyway after much assistance and even more close snoopervision Mummy got things right and took the pictures I asked for. Now I can show you all the amazingly purrty rosettes I have been given by nice people wearing white coats recently (I had a good sniff at them all and non smell like vets, so I think they must be show judges!).

Firstly there are all my ribbons and my lovely Best of Breed medal from the Three Counties show where I interviewed Yao-lin's pretty slave lady. I'm especially fond of my medal as I'm sure you can imagain... :)

Then there's the 1st place Open Rosette from the Herts & Midds Show a few weeks ago where I won my second Challenge Certificate and of course the Best of Breed Rosette from there too, it's so purrty and reminds me of a glittering star! :) Lastly there are my 1st, 2nd and 3rd from all the side classes I took part in at the Herts & Midds Show. I think they're all very purrty and have been adding my demands that Daddy hurry up and get my ribbon display case put up in Mummy's study to my list of things to moan and yowl about for now...

Well I do like to moan when things don't get done to my satisfaction! ;)

Wailing on Wednesday...

Well seeing as I'm on a role I thought I might as well wail all Wednesday too... After a very good sleep snuggled up on Mummy's feet I decided to start off the day on a high note so to speak! ;) Oh yes I was noticed by both Mummy and Daddy too when I decided that I needed to start complaining about the lack of suitable male companionship of the type I desire at 4:55am. In fact they were somewhat of a captive audience as I stood in the doorway and reached for the high notes! ;)

Seeing as I already have hit the big time as a beauty pageant contestant, been very successful as a model as well as breaking into journalism as an investigative reporter and all the while being a mother of 4 at a relativity young age - well you can see why I'm considering taking up Opera singing too! ;) I'm just not sure Mummy and Daddy are as keen on my constant practising of late and for some reason both Tigmut'hep and Ramses have taken to hiding when I do it too... I think this has something to do with Tigs taking too much 'nip, or was it not enough?! I'm not sure which but it's certainly one of the two! ;) Ramses on the other paw is just being a silly Mummy's boy, well honestly he burrowed under the covers when Mummy was making the bed this morning...

Looks like I'll have to make do with gazing at Sen-Chan's picture and dream of a visit to my next professional boyfriend, 'cause Mummy says if I keep up my Opera practice she's going to get some ear plugs!

Traumatic Tuesday

Oh yes it's all very traumatic today... Mummy had to get up extra early to get Daddy and some other people from his company off to London for a seminar today, didn't he know I was having a lovely time fussing Mummy before the alarm went off?! Well I was and it was all very nice, I'd had an ear rub and a chin rub, a nice stroking and was working my way around to getting a good belly rub and on came the alarm! :( Look into these pleading eyes and do you not feel for my plight? Can't you see how much I need a good belly rubbing and maybe 30-40 minutes of good grooming too just to make up for the rude interruption to my pleasure... Oh how I suffer, just like my ardent admirer Yao-lin - he knows how hard it is to get enough attention! I know my gorgeous boyfriend Sen-Chan would have obliged and groomed my belly purrfectly if only he was here by my side... So I think it only fair that I wail at the top of my lungs all day long, demanding the attention of all who hear me even if it's making Tigmut'hep try to cover his eyes and ears with his paws in an effort to sleep through it all! ;) Mummy says he as a hangover and we're not to tease him *all* the time about it - ok Mummy I'll just tease him *most* of the time! :)

Wonderful Wednesday

Well after a very busy morning peace has at last returned to the house here... Dad's off to work and D'boy is at his new school looking very smart in his grown up school uniform! Before he left the house Mummy made sure his collar was done up and that he had his name on everything - I guess this is because she hasn't had him microchipped yet... I'm not sure why this is, as my kittens were a lot smaller than D'boy when they got theirs! Then again they were old enough to leave home a few days later, so maybe Mummy's waiting until D'boy is 16-18 yrs old... ;)
Anyway the thought of collars and getting ready for shows bought me back to the lovely gifts my ardent admirer Yao-lin sent me via his pretty slave lady... I really must get around to posing in my new Coco Chanel diamanté collar for a start, but I think I'd like to twin it with my gorgeous Best Of Breed Medal, so I will be sending Mummy out for a little black velvet ribbon soon. I think I shall pose against either the black or red background for that shot once I have the required ribbon and Mummy has sorted it all out for me. Yes I am sure that not only Yao-lin will like that, buy my beloved Sen-Chan! :) I have also been looking through my new dressing up box also supplied to me by my devoted admirer HRH Yao-lin (well you see he recognizes class and breeding when he sees it) and thinking about trying on that cute little Hawaiian outfit... Tigmut'hep says he has dibs on the nice warm scarf and blue Deer Stalker as he's the biggest Venison lover in the house! Ramses seems to think the leopard print hat will look best against his colouring, but is willing to share it with me in a most sweet and brotherly fashion if I want it too... :)
Anyway for now you'll all have to make do with a few of my professional photos taken by Robert Fox a few weeks ago at the Three Counties Cat Show. Thanks to him my Mummy now has a little handbag with my photo printed on it, just right for taking to cat shows I think! :)

My list of 13 reasons why Mummy's been keeping us cats from the internet lately:

1. Something she calls "having a life", we all disapprove of this as you can imagine.
2. Repainting the dinning room and kitchen as well as retiling the kitchen - it's called DIY I hear...
3. D'Boy came home and bought home the mother of all laundry piles!
4. Getting D'boy ready to go to "Big School" - really Mummy we can teach him all that's needed here at home! ;)
5. Cleaning up after the DIY
6. Getting gorgeous professional photos done of me! Ok, so I don't disapprove of this one! ;)
7. Taking me to cat shows and letting me wow the judges! Ok, so I don't mind that one either... :)
8. Taking me for long car rides in my little luxury PTU, look Mummy I've told you what I think of this one repeatedly and occasionally very loudly too! ;)
9. Researching Aby genetics and looking for good matches for my next eeer professional boyfriend. Well the end results of this are nice, but the rest is boring Mummy!
10. Spending squillions of hours on the phone talking to other Aby breeders about eer professional boyfriends. Again this is boring Mummy!
11. Mummy driving all over the place to look at eer professional boyfriends from her "short list". Errr, Mummy I like my mancats tall and gorgeous, none of this short stuff ok! ;)
12. Mummy spending squillions of hours looking over these lucky few potential eer professional boyfriends. Well at least she comes home smelling Wonderful!!!!!! :) Come on Mummy let me sniff those trousers again before you wash them... ;)
13. Sticking nasty cotton swabs in my purrty little mouth in order to steal my skin cells for genetic testing. Look Mummy I told you I was perfect, but you insisit on having some geek in a white lab coat tell you so too, so don't blaim me for wanting to put the bitey on you! :P

Meezer Monday - The Truth Comes Out at Last!

Well as you all know, our good friend HRH Yao-lin is a truly tortured soul, having to share His Island with Baby Mao while putting up with a Slave who seems to lack the required training levels needed to meet his high regal standards...

While this reporter found the Slave to be utterly charming and lot prettier than Yao-lin had led us to believe, we understand his deep and unrelenting suffering. Being unique, superior in all ways and utterly regal to the very core of his being, poor Yao-lin finds it difficult in the extreme to put up with anything less than purrfection. While no doubt well intentioned his Slave is no purrfectionist... I mean when he demands Steak for the Royal Dinner, she offers him beef flavour cat food! Oh yes and it doesn't end there... When he feels the need for a little shrimp or lobster, he is served with nothing more than a bit of fish or some fishy smelling food from a tin of all things! His Slave also refuses to cook individual meals for him and Baby Mao, nor does she believe in taste testing each and every dish before offering them up to him! Yes, I too was shocked to hear all this, but it seems the Slave was happy to confess all under my amber eyed gaze...

One of Yao-lin's main issues is the lack of round the clock care for his Royal Self, to this charge the Slave admitted her guilt, mumbling something about "having a life" - it seems the demands of a single gorgeous Royal Meezer are not enough for her... Yes, this is his other big complaint! Why have Baby Mao around, if she can't look after his demanding needs to the level of purrfection he requires?! So it's not so much that he hates Baby Mao, as he hates anything and anyone who adds to the distractions his easily distracted Slave uses as excuses for his exceedingly poor care... Plus Baby Mao's happy acceptance of the afore mentioned low standards in the Slave just add to poor Yao-lin's growing disgust. To quote Yao-lin, "How can such a creature call himself a Meezer?" This reporter feels that if Baby Mao could only learn a little more meezer like behaviour from Yao-lin and shun the Slave and recoil in horror at the mealtime offerings, they might just get along a little better... Sadly Baby Mao is still a sweet and trusting boy, full of love and affection for all - if coming with a decidedly "interesting odour", best not described. ;)

Now to answer a few of your specific questions:

The lovely Miss Peach asked:
Where do you buy his colorful contact lenses? - As you all know eyes are the mirror of the soul and extreme suffering and the colour blue go paw in paw with each other, Yao-lin's gorgeous eyes are this startling colour of blue purely because of his extremes of neglect...

The insightful Castle wondered:
Is Yao-Lin's slave surprised that Yao-lin has stuck around, and not wandered off to find a new home? - Oh he does on a daily basis, but sadly His Island seems to be inhabited by a truly inferior level of slavekind and he has yet to bribe the ferryman to smuggle him over to the Mainland!

My guru and mentor Daisy enquired:
Is it difficult to find royal fashions that suit Yao-Lin's high standards? - Oh yes! His Island lacks a pet Fashion Boutique, such as should be found in any truly civilized Principality... This has lead to some online ordering mishaps because the Slave just wouldn't listen and as you all know clothing sizes around the World differ.

Goldie simply needed to find out:
Does Yao-Lin really hates Baby Mao ALL the time? This was easy to answer... Oh Yes!

While lastly, Shade wished to know the following:
Does the Slave walk in on moments of cuddling and grooming once in the rare while? Most emphatically not and you should wash your mouth out for so much as suggesting that the Royal tongue might so much as willingly touch Baby Mao's odoriferous fur!

In conclusion, Yao-lin's sufferings are real, profound and ongoing, although his Slave is far nicer than he'd have you think as is the cute Baby Mao - as long as you remain up wind of him! So there you have this reporter's full findings on her maiden assignment. I think my next one might be an exposé on what has happened to cause the lovely Marie's long spell of blog silence recently... I tell you folks this will not be one to miss! :)

Oh what a wonderful day it has been, I have the makings of a really wonderful bit of investigative reporting to share with you once I have had sufficient beauty sleep! To add to that I had 3 more BIG FIRST's today!!!!

Yes, I won the first of the 3 Certificates that I need to make me an Official Champion today, as well as wining Best of Breed - meaning I was the very best Aby at the Show today! :) This was utterly amazing as two of my friends from Silversmoke were there and they both won huge milestone Certificates making one a Grand Champion and the other an Imperial Grand Premier as of today. To round off a wonderful day, Mummy took me to have my photo taken by a proper professional photographer! That's right I did proper professional modeling and was brillaint at it - all those tips from Daisy really have paid off and I wowed the photographer as well as Mummy and Dad! :) Now I just have to count the days until the photos arrive!!! :)

Oh and Mummy ordered herself a little handbag to be made with a photo of me printed on it, so she can show all the World her utter devotion to me! :)

I so liked Yao-lin's Mum eer Slave that I let her take phones of me with some of my nice new ribbons. Though since I understand she likes food just as much, if not more than Yau-lin, I have left him a detailed message as to the contents of his "Care Package" we sent home with her, so that he can question her if she arrives home full, while his "Care Package" is missing certain items... ;) Well you do have to be careful when dealing with sensative items like food around most humans - I put my Mummy's own acceptance of the fact that she can never ear a whole steak without feeling the overwhelming urge to share it with all us cats down to her being well trained by her Meezer queen many, many years ago. For this we are all greatful to Meezerkind in general, as you may imagain! However, I will not let this fact cloud my journalistic integraty and I shall soon report to you in great depth about the deep suffering poor Yau-lin puts up with on a daily basis...

Oh and the gorgeous pin-up photos of Yao-lin and the nice box of cute dressing up fashions that the generous and lovely Yao-lin sent us to play with will have no affect either, nor the primo 'nip he sent for Tigmut'hep (even getting him his most favoured brand). Oh no I am strictly professional in all my dealings as you shall all see very soon! :)

I have decided to take a leaf from my friend and mentor Daisy the Curly Cat's book and launch my new career as a investigative reporter! Oh yes, I have an impressive first assignment too, I am off to interview Yao-lin's wayward and generally inadequate slave! I am also planning to look over all her purchases for Yao-lin and Baby Mao to make sure that they reach the highest standards possible - she won't be allowed to take him home general tat for a change... Oh no, nothing but the best will do for Yao-lin! :)

Moaning Monday

Mummy says I've been moaning all weekend, well ok so she's right this time - but if she'd only get me a mancat here and now I promise I'd stop moaning in a few days time once my eer needs had been met! ;) It seems that Dad won't listen to me either even though I keep throwing myself at him he keeps claiming that he's not the right man for the eer job... ;) It seems only my lovely boyfriend Sen-Chan thinks I'm desireable at the moment...

So here I am all hot and bothered, with weather to match my mood so no one's getting much sleep around here. At least we got some icey cool catnip and chicken jelly added to our brekfast meat to help us all cool down and relax! :)

Anyway I'm back off to complain to Mummy some more - I know if I wail loud enough for long enough she'll listen to me, after all when I wailed loudly at New Years I got to go for a week's visit with the lovely Dan! ;) Now I know that moaning works there is no stopping me! ;)

At last Mummy's got a little more time to help me type my bloggie! She's had a very busy week so far, but as she's a good Mummy she's taken time to help me post my 13 things I'm feeling glad or greatful about or for that matter have been thinking about today! :)

1) I'm glad that Mummy got a phone call from Canada at 1am to tell her that D'boy had arrived safe and sound - after all this gave me an extra chance to get a fussing! :)
2) I'm glad that Dad was so tired from all the driving yesterday that he didn't want to get out of bed this morning as this gave me more time for fussing! :)
3) I'm glad that I had an e-mail from Delta and Dandy yesterday to tell me all about their nice new names and with photos to show me how much they've been growing! :)
4) I'm glad that Dad appreciated my trying to cover him back up with this blankets this morning, even if I only managed to tuck his feet back in before he decided he really did have to get up for work... :)
5) I'm glad that Ramses had a really good brushing from Mummy this morning as I now have a new fur ball to play with - you can easily roll his soft under fluff hair up into a nice firm but light weight ball to play with - I have less under fluff so my fur doesn't make as good a balls as Ramses' fur does. :)
6) I'm grateful that Mummy and Dad had a nice visit with some stud boys yesterday afternoon, one of them may become my next eer professional boyfriend sometime in December I think... :)
7) I'm very grateful to have a gorgeous boyfriend of my own who's very understanding of my eer needs! :)
8) I'm grateful that live with my half-brother Ramses as he's so much fun to play with, even if he's a total Mummy's boy most of the time! :)
9) I'm also grateful that it's hot and sunny today as we have all the time in the run what we want today, unlike yesterday when we had to stay indoors while Mummy and Dad were out... :)
10) I'm very grateful we have the run to play in and hear that we may be getting a new climbing toy made for it as Mummy and Dad saw some yesterday and think they can make me one too! :)
11) I think Dad is very tallented at DIY and I'm very grateful for this as he can build me more climbing toys with a little help from Mummy! :)
12) I think Mummy left the bedroom door open and has the windows open on the safety latch (so we can't have an accident or get out), so I think I shall go and lay on her new bedspread in the cool and have a nap now that I'm tired out from playing tag with Ramses! :)
13) I think I shall probably dream of my lovely boyfriend Sen-Chan and covering him in kisses like his doggy friend Sweetie-Pie did! :)

Triumphant Tuesday

Oh yes I'm certainly triumphant this Tuesday as I've got my very own gorgeous French Mancat Boyfriend! Better still he's utterly gorgeous as well as a talented gourmet cook... What more could a ladycat wish for?! Well yes a basket full of sweet little kittens, but I've had one of those already and Mummy says I can have another next year if I'm a good girl - so I guess I have it made! ;)

Sen-Chan is a sorrel just like my half-brother Ramses is, it's such a purrty colour just like my Mummy's head furs in fact! :) This means that Sen-Chan has purrty little pink toes, unlike my lovely black ones. It also means that his nose if a pretty shade of dusky pink, where as mine is more a pale brick red in colour. Like Ramses his belly fluffs are a lovely deep apricot colour, where as mine are more golden. The ticking on his furs is less obvious than mine too as his under fluffs are sort of apricot, then he has a lighter band of colour, another band of apricot and then topped off with cocoa coloured tips to each fur! Mine however go from golden apricot to light, to golden apricot again tipped with black - yes we do have very complicated furs, but they're very purrty furs and soft and shiny to the touch! :)

I Wanna Mancat Monday...

So many of my friends have boyfriends that today I'm thinking about getting myself a mancat of my own really seriously... You see I've seen one I rather like the look of and well I'm not sure what to do next!? I keep looking and I think he's noticed me, but that's it so far...

Ramses says I lack patience, but really I wanna boyfriend now! I've been thinking of placing a wanted ad, but can't quite come up with the wording for one... This is just as good as it gets so far:

Wanted: One gorgeous male Aby for hours of mutual grooming and appreciation. Must be a gourmet cook or have access to one as I like the finer things in life, especially if they contain chicken! ;) Must be able to face the prospects of an open relationship as I wanna be a momma cat again and therefore must like looking at little Aby kittens and telling me how pretty they all are and how wonderful I am for producing them!

Yes, I think that sums it up nicely... All candidates will have to put up with extensive grooming too and can't squirm their way out of ear cleaning time... Come on boys you know I'm worth it! ;)

Free Friday, Family Friday...

I must say I'm really getting into this single life again! ;) I've had the most wonderful games of "Kitty Tag", "Bop" and "Herd of Thundering Elephants" with not just my half-brother Ramses, but the grumper Tigmut'hep! Yes, it's strange but true Tigmut'hep can play games and not constantly moan about how he's Da'Boss and us needing to show him respect... If he keeps this up I may well have to start liking him! ;)

Today is a big day though, it's the day where everyone in the USA celebrated my Nana's Birthday! :) Isn't it fantastic the way Americans have parties and set off fireworks just to celebrate my Nana's special day?! Sadly not many UK residents have taken up this tradition, although Mummy and all our family do and although they can't have a big party this weekend as a lot of them are busy they are having one next weekend! :) Of course we're offering our services in helping to eat up any left over meat, along with Nana's dog Misty... ;) I'm sure many of my Feline American friends will be offering the same sort of services for their own humans, if not please forward all left over steak this way please! ;)

Other than that I've had a few nice messages from my kittens to let me know that their humans are being very good to them and that they are very happy in their new homes! :) I do so love hearing from them and knowing that they are happy and healthy and getting all the love and fuss they require...

It's been a very free week for me here as D'boy's been off visiting Yao-lin's Island, so I've had more Mummy time - especially since Mummy has a sore left shoulder from a big needle being poked in it! She's had to take more rest and relaxing time and she has therefore needed her feet slept on more than normal. This is a job that only I can do properly as Tigmut'hep is so heavy that he cuts off the blood supply to her feet when he tried and my half-brother Ramses is a fidget bottom! ;) I on the other hand have a nicely shaped bottom and don't fidget all the time, so Mummy can almost forget I'm there and really relax properly... :)

This skill of mine is appreciated by the boy cats here as it means that since I'm being good and sleeping quietly on Mummy's feet that they have to be let into the bedroom so that I could get out if I needed to use the kitty litter in the night! Oh yes my sweet ladlylike way of getting my own patch of bed means that even Tigmut'hep is starting to appreciate me more fully and he's only really ever appreciated catnip and a full foood bowl before! ;)

The other great thing that's happened here this week is that the pretty "Candy Cat" catnip plant has been in flower for the first time! This is definatly the sort of 'nip for a ladycat, it's just so pretty! :)
The only downside to this week has been hearing that my Grandmakitty on my Mommacat's side of the family, passed away from cancer at the age of 11 yrs. I knew her well as she lived with me, my sister Mynx, Mommacat "Candy" and Grandmakitty "Bella" as well as big sister Fantasy and lots of my other relatives too until I got big and left home to live with my half-brother Ramses, the grumper Tigmut'hep as well as Mummy, Daddy and D'boy. So having extra Mummy toe snuggle time has been extra special as I've been a little sad about Grandmakitty and knowing that my breeders would be very, very sad as they had been there for Grandmakitty since the day she was born right to the very end... They've had a pretty rough year in fact as this is the 3rd cat they have lost in just about 6 months, one other being my Great, Great Grandpakitty "Buck" at 2 weeks short of his 17th Birthday. The other was my cousin "Vinny" who was born with heart trouble and so who'd stayed with them too and been nursed for close to 3 yrs - it was amazing since the vets didn't think he'd live for more than a few months given his condition...

Well all the kittens are gone now and I can have a Free Friday... I think like Mummy I have mixed feelings about the kittens leaving home, though my titties are feeling very happy about it and a lot less pink! ;) Which is good as it didn't go that well with the pretty aquamarine and teel of my ribbons! :)

I must admit that the cat show was kind of nice, lots of special people in white coats fussed me and told me I was looking great - silly people I knew that already! ;) But it's nice to hear it all the same... :) The vets at the show loved me and the head vet said he'd been very tempted to become my Daddy when I was little, if only he didn't have so many Abys already at home he'd have happily taken me home too! So he was pleased to see I have a lovely Mummy and Daddy anyway and have had some georgeous kittens recently too. I think he may well keep an eye on my future kittens if he has room for an extra Aby at home! :) He's also trying to get a special study done of a large section of the Aby population over here, mostly to do with our eyes and DNA - so I think I'll be seeing him again later in the year and maybe bringing my vet Hubert along with me! Well Hubert is badly smitten by my beauty and is getting very interested in cat shows now too... I guess I'm starting to think of him as "My Pet Vet" *giggle*

Well I must go and help Mummy pack D'Boy's case for his trip to Yao-Lin's Island next week, I was thinking Yao-Lin and Baby Mao might like me to send them a few of my georgeous furs via D'Boy's clothes, so bringing a little extra female glamour to their Island! ;)

Family Friday and Farewell...

Today my lovely little lion boy Django leave here to go off with his new Mum and explore his own home for the first time! I think I am ready to let go of the kittens now as I'm starting to appreciate the peace of not having them constantly around me... Though I love them and and will miss them, it's time for me to have some "Isis time" and so I've been spending most of the last few days almost attached to Mummy! :) It's so peaceful in her office, though I can hear the kittens in the run below her office window and know that they're playing nice with my brother Ramses and our housemate Tigmut'hep... ;) Although I scratched my chin earlier in the week and made Mummy panic about my even being fit for the big cat show I think it's ok now and so even if I'm not looking quite my best I should be able to show! I just have to hope that all the other Abys at the show have some similar now! ;)

The other reason I'm sticking to Mummy like glue is that I'm sad about my sweet friend Storm leaving us this afternoon... I shall miss her very much, but have promised her to remember her and always be there for her wonderful Mum and loving brother Castle. I shall certainly do all these things my friend and wish you a peaceful crossing over the bridge...

Oh yes that time has come at last and the first of my kittens Dizzy (with the amazing ear tufts) will be leaving home to go and live with a lovely Fawn coloured lady Aby (Willow) and her humans! :) At least this means that these humans will be well house trained, just like Mummy and Dad are! ;) Actually having met them, I think Dizzy is going to have a wonderful life and I think he and Willow will be great friends in no time! :)

I hear I'm also due a bath! It seems I need to look my level best next Saturday for my cat show debut so will be getting all washed and brushed over the next few days as well as being booked in for a pawdicure next Thursday so that I have a chance to blunt off any little sharp edges they might leave to my full satisfaction. Apparently it's seen as poor form (or should that me paw form?!) to try and blunt your claws off on the Judges! ;)

Anyway since I only have a little while longer with my little Dizzy boy, I shall go now and leave you all with a couple of photos taken of the kittens last night. In the brown bed showing off his spot #13 as well as all his mancat bits is Dandy, cuddled up with is sister Delta. On the black blanket are Django and Dizzy! :)

Here's my sweet little daughter Delta Peach for Miss Peach as she's celebrating her 1st Blog Anniversary. Hasn't she grown into a little beauty, just like her namesake! :) She's such a sweety too and loves to cuddle and is nearly as passionate about all things milky as me, so much so that I occasionally have to point out her age when she starts looking at the milk bar all hopeful like! ;)

Other than that we've had some really sad news that our lovely friend Bonnie Underfoot has passed over the Rainbow Bridge. It seems her little heart just gave out and it's been a dreadful shock to her loving family as it was very much unexpected... Our thoughts are therefore with them and Victor who will be lost without his lovely grumpy Bonnie to thwap him and keep him in his place!

Well it's been rainy here for the past 48 hrs or there abouts and the kittens are driving everyone mad! They want to play, climb and run about and are doing so in the house... They are so bored with not having time in the run that they keep mugging me for more milk too and I have less places to get away from then too! While I understand their boredom and frustration at having to stay inside, they really do have to learn to behave a little better and tone their games down to match their surroundings... Using Mummy & Dad's bed head as a place to practice their tightrope walking skills really shows a lack of maturity and judgement on their part! The fact that they continued to do it until nearly 1am must have gone some of the way to getting all us cats and kittens alike locked downstairs last night... It seems beans don't nap enough during the day time to cope well with kittens landing on their faces while they're trying to get to sleep! ;) I too had to learn these lessons, though mostly the one about putting the bitey onto toes while the owner of said toes is sound asleep...

Other than that my entry form for the big Abyssinian Cat Show next month has been sent off and Mummy's started buying me lots of nice white bits for my show pen! :) They're all for me and will be kept specially clean just for showing me off on... Maybe I'll see a gorgeous mancat or 2 at the show! ;) Oh what do you mean I can't go making myself a belly full of kittens in the middle of the show hall Mummy?! What, not even if they're the bestest looking mancat ever?! Waaaa... It's not fair! Oh ok, I'll accept vast amounts of chicken and 'nip as a substitute for true love, as long as you promise I can have a whole week with a gorgeous mancat at some other time! ;) *giggle*

Time for myself Tuesday!

Oh yes it's that time at last... Not that the kittens have left home or anything, but that I'm just ready to let them have a few hours on their own playing with Tigmut'hep and Uncle Ramses in the run, while I have a little game of throw the mousie and fetch with Mummy! :) Well ok two big games and a nice long nap on her bed in the sunny patch to be exact... ;)

It seems that Mummy has missed our games a lot and is a little rusty at the mousie throwing, but she'll learn again if I keep making her play the game! *grin* Oh yes we all have our used for Mummy here, I play with her lots and lots, Ramses supplies the snuggles and furs her a lot and Tigmut'hep is always ready for the next meal to go down and likes to play with the boy and spend lots of time with him too...

So you see I'm looking good and getting myself show fit while still looking after my kittens and playing with them quite a few times each day! They're still doing their best to have a top up at the milk bar when they can, but each day it's getting less and less and my bits are going back to where they should be. In fact I reckon within a week or two from now I'll have my perfect svelte figure back and my titty fluffs will be almost grown back in place - though in this heat a little extra bare flesh isn't such a bad thing, unless of course you're silly enough to lay on your back in the sun and burn your private bits! :S Now that would be disastrous, as well as very painful...

Now back to getting myself ready for next month's show... Oh Mummy, I need to look at myself in the mirror for a bit and check and see if I'm purrty enough! ;)

Well I had a lovely time visiting with some of the kittens Mummy's and Daddy's over the weekend and this Sunday I have Django's Mummy visiting too, so I'm hoping for some more chicken to eat... You see Mummy gave me lots of really yummy chicken while the kittens new bean parents gave them a little too! :) Of course my brother Ramses got lots of chicken too for his Birthday and we're all greatly appreciating his catnip plants out in the run! ;)

Now that the kittens are getting bigger, I've noticed that I'm starting to think about mancats a lot again... ;) Well you need a nice friendly mancat in order to get yourself a belly full of kittens and I'd certainly like another one of those! :) But Mummy says I have to wait until the end of the year before I can go for another "holiday" with a gorgeous mancat... :( So now you know why I was moaning in her ear at 5am this morning! ;)

Oh and it's not my fault that the kittens woke up shortly after that... Nor it it my fault that they were all very hyper and wanted to play the "Bed Moles" game! I'm pretty sure I never told them that a "Bed Mole" can get a better bitey on the toes either... Though I think Mummy was expecting "Bed Moles" as she took the camera to bed last night and had it ready to take photographic evidence of the chronic "Bed Mole" activity! ;)

Anyway Dad's away tonight, so the "Bed Moles" will have more room to play in without nearly pushing Mummy out of bed, so hopefully she won't moan to me about them tomorrow morning... ;)

Well it'll be a busy weekend here, so I doubt we'll get on-line much... But since it's due to my brother Ramses turning 5 yrs old and most of the kittens having visitors, I guess I can't moan at Mummy too much... All by Django will have a visitor or two this weekend, but he has to wait until next Sunday before his visitor comes to see him! I guess that means I'll have to play with him a little more than the others to keep him happy, though knowing Django's favourite game he'll have his mouth too full to complain! Oh yes he's certainly earned his nickname "Django Feed" rather well... ;)

Other than that the kittens had some more half-siblings born yesterday! Three little girls and a boy, it looks like their Dad's been busy! ;)

Back from the Vets

Just a very quick update to let you all know that although I've been off-line most of the day that the kittens were really good at the vets and Mummy nearly had to frisk the vet to see if he was keeping one for himself, he fell in love with them all so much! But of course he saves lots of fusses and praise for me, so he's forgiven for now! ;) Though it's very nice to hear someone saying you make the bestest looking baby kittens in the World, and of course he's right so I didn't have to disagree with him over a single thing! :)

So all the kittens have had their first shots and a full check-up ready to meet their new families! :) The nice thing is that the kittens aren't going to leave with their new families for many weeks to come yet. Mummy is governed by the GCCF guidelines and that means that kittens don't go to their new home until at least one week after their second shots and preferably not until they are 13 weeks old! :)

So I have lots more time to play with my kittens and now they have had their shots as soon as it's a nice hot day they can have a nice long playtime in the run with us all! :) Once they are all gone in mid June I shall have a nice holiday and relax, maybe attend a few shows and show off my beauty to some judges, then in November or December I will have a visit to some gorgeous Stud for a few days of naughtiness so I can come home and percolate kittens over winter and have some more next spring! :) (Just when I've lulled Tigmut'hep into a false sense of security!!!) *giggle* Well I can't deprive Ramses of kittens to play with, now that I've got him so well trained as a Manny! ;)

Oh yes my kittens are at that stage now! I can't keep them out of stuff and they are constantly tormenting my poor brother Ramses so make him play with them (which luckily most of the time he does) and Tigmut'hep who most of the time runs for cover while uttering curses and other bad kitty words...

Just see for yourself what they do to poor Ramses... I guess I'm going to have to be very good to him when the kittens leave home! ;) Though I'm starting to think he'd be utterly lost without them to brighten his day, I think he'll appreciate a little peace and quiet... As I think will I, because at present they won't take no for an answer when it comes to milk rations, the little horrors mug me for it! Laying in wait for when I have a mouthful of bikky and latching on fast and sucking like a daemon possessed until I manage to get myself free from their clutches! ;) I mean look at the manic expression on Dizzy's face as he plays a very rough game of "bop" with his brother Django... These are some very determined kittens and currently they're determined to get more milk out of me than I'm willing to give! After all they're having 4 meals a day, plus all the bikky they can eat, but they're still after my milky goodness... ;)

They're visiting Hubert my vet tomorrow for their shots, so Mummy'll be making sure they have another pawdicure tonight so that they leave Hubert with all his fingers intact! ;) He's such a nice vet and gives me lots of cuddles and tells me how very beautiful I am you see, so he can keep his fingers... I'm sure he's going to tell me what a wonderful Momma I am and that I'm the best looking Queen he's ever laid eyes on tomorrow! If not I shall apply a good case of the bitey to his fingers and remind him myself... :)

What can I say, but my son Django is a clumsy oaf! He first of all fell into the water bowl last night and in getting out of that stumbled into the food bowl and covered himself in stinky goodness... Well seeing as Mummy's not that fond of the smell of stinky goodness, coupled with the fact that I didn't fancy Tigmut'hep thinking he was a kitten shaped movable snack and was in fact dripping wet already, Mummy decided it best to give the little stinker a bath! While this is not something many cats or kittens appreciate, Django did well and has come out smelling way better at the other end of the process, even if he did have to spend a lot of the evening wrapped in a towel, being cuddled and dried off... ;)

This morning D'boy was running late for school, so the kittens got to go for a ride in the luxury carrier with me and Mummy! They were all very good and didn't do anything icky or antisocial other than mug me for some extra milk! ;)

Late Breaking News!!!!
My older sister Noodle has had 5 lovely ickle baby kittens this morning! Three little boys the same colour as mine, a little girl that colour too and one Blue Aby girl as well, with furs just like our Mum Candytuft has! :) I'm very proud of my sister Noodle and their Dad Frodo - this is his first litter of kittens, so it's all new to him! ;)

Wow, I can't believe the kittens are almost 6 weeks old already! They had a lovely visit with Dad's Mum yesterday and we all enjoyed some of Mummy's roasty turkey, Ramses and I even got gravy too! :) Oh yes the kittens loved having little bits of turkey to chew up and eat, it satisfied their urge to chew as well as the one to eat everything they find! ;)

This is my daughter Delta Peach having her first sniff of fresh air in the run yesterday afternoon with Mummy! :) Of course I came along too to make sure she behaved herself nicely and didn't squirm too much. I've been talking to her about acting in a ladycat like way, just like her namesake Miss Peach! This is all well and good until she sees something she wants to "bop" like a brother or Uncle Ramses tail, then it all goes to pot! ;)

It's only a little over a week to go until Mummy'll be taking the kittens to see Hubert Vet and getting them cuddled and fussed and told how incredibly cute they all are! I think I shall insist on coming along so she cat tell me what a wonderful Momma cat I am and how clever I am at producing such pretty kittens! :) He'll also give them each an injection to help make their immune systems work better at fighting off nasty stuff that could make them sick, so while this may hurt a little bit I've explained that it's to do them good and that they are not to put the bitey on Hubert's fingers, they are reserved for me! ;) We're lucky having a vet like him, as he appreciates the fact that he gets to handle a pretty large proportion of the Abyssinians born in the UK this year when he sees the kittens. Last year there were only 325 Aby kittens born and registered with the GCCF and he'll get to cuddle 4 at the end of the month! :)

Anyway it's nearly time for Mummy to make lunch, so I think I had better go see if there's any more of that yummy turkey around for me and the kittens to put the bitey on! ;)

Well we made sure there were no repeats of yesterday's abysmal behaviour by waking Mummy up at 6:16am today! The kittens were most cooperative and climbed onto the bed and started to run riot all over it, until both Mummy and Dad were wide awake... :) We all therefore got a good cuddling before breakfast was due and there's little better to start the day off right than a good cuddle and a full tummy!

Following their breakfast the kittens fell back to sleep, leaving me a chance to play with the lovely ying yang scratcher that D'boy made for me! :) Ramses loves it too, as do all the kittens... Last night Delta wrapped her paws around it and tried to climb it like a coconut tree! ;) This made all the beans giggle and I must admit it did look pretty funny...

Anyway I shall take advantage of the kittens having a nap and it not being a mealtime for at least 1 more hour and have a nap myself! The door to the cat run is open and it's cool but sunny outside so I think I may well be able to find myself a sunny patch in the fresh air for it... :)

Some days life is just so darn good! :)

Well as you can see the kittens have not only been growing, but getting into new stuff... Their dinner for a start! Now that Mummy's letting them help themselves from their bowls they have a tendency to just get in with the food and eat their way back out! ;) This does however have one advantage, I get a kitten dinner flavour kitten to groom afterwards and considering some of the other things they've occasionally managed to get themselves covered in this is far nicer on the palate! ;)
It seems that all the kittens like this new found sport, though some have honed their skills a little more... With the kittens tasting this good, I'm kind of surprised that my bother Ramses and our housemate Tigmut'hep haven't started trying to wash the kittens too! ;)

Can you believe it my ickle baby kittens will be one month old tomorrow! It's all gone too fast and they have all started to eat solid food, though they still spend a lot of time at the milk bar too, supping on Mothers Milk. :)

Delta Peach aged 23 days

I mean look at the size of my ickle baby Delta! She's huge and that photo was taken a week ago... She's now even bigger and so fast on her paws that she's become a bit of a challenge for Mummy to take photos of, though she has promised to get the camera out today so that there are new photos for "Family Friday" :) She's pretty good as far as Mummy's go I guess... ;)

Last night the kittens discovered chewy cat treat sticks... You see I love these yummy meaty treats and Mummy was a little fed up of Django chewing on her fingers and making them sore with his little fangs! So she thought he might like to chew at one of these for a bit and then I could have it to eat once he'd got over his fit of the bitey... Oh silly Mummy she should have remembered why we all call Django, "Django Feed" 'cause he scoffed nearly half of one of these sticks before Mummy could get it off of him! Next Delta had a go at it and decided she liked it lots too, then came Dizzy and Dandy who also came back with the same verdict - these are a good thing for a kitten to put the bitey on and they taste better than finger and scream a LOT less! ;) Oh well at least Mummy made sure I got two of these after the kittens were satisfied... I just worry that there'll be a shortage of them here now that the kittens know about them! ;)

Well my lovely little family is now nearly a month old and to celebrate this fact those lovely people at Zoolatry made me this picture! :) You can see everyone on it, even Dandy's bottom! ;)

The kittens are getting big and strong on their daily diet of Mothers Milk, though the boys are starting to like solid food too. Delta Peach being so much like me has quite a passion for milk as such she's not shown a lot of interest in solid food yet... The thing I like most about the kittens learning to eat solids, is I get their left overs and they're all milky! Though I do miss the odd bottle I managed to get my tongue around... Maybe I can teach Mummy to give me my cat milk treats in a kitten bottle?! ;) Sometimes I miss being the baby, but mostly I love being a Momma cat!

Well it's really Teething Titty Tuesday, yes the kittens are only a little over 3 weeks old and the little beasties have decided to sprout fangs! It's enough to make your eyes water just thinking about it... This is the real reason those wimpy Mancats don't have kittens! ;) I bet they'd go crying to their Mums in no time... *giggle*

This photo was taken just before they cut their teeth last Friday, but if you look close you can see their little fang buds just ready to cut through their gums... Oh and it's my dear little Delta Peach who's torturing her brother Dizzy in this shot! That's my girl, keep the boys in line... :)

The other news is that a letter Mummy wrote to "your Cat Magazine" is going to be published soon and might well have a lovely photo of my son Django in it too, well that or that really undignified one that my brother Ramses showed you all the other Saturday... The one of me drinking some yummy formula from my bottle - oh the indignity and the shame of it all... I shall have to dye my furs and change my name at this rate! ;)

Wow it's that time of week again and I can't believe how big the kittens are getting! They're all over 330g and toddling about when given the chance... This is making my life rather busy as all this toddling means I have to keep an eye on them, plus they don't half work up an appetite! Some days I feel they would happily spend hour after hour at the milk bar filling their little fat bellies full of yummy milk! ;) Well ok I can see the attraction of having a belly full of milk... Yes I know I have a weakness for it, but honestly it's my only weakness! Well that and cute mancats... ;) *giggle*blush*

The kittens have started to watch me have my main meals, so they start to learn that kitten cannot live by milk alone... They seem to enjoy watching me tuck into my breakfast most of all and you should see their little noses sniffing at the food, it's delightful! :)

Other than that the kittens have been watching a lot of movies on the TV over the Easter long weekend. They're pretty fond of being cuddled and it's nice as it means I can have a good nap and not worry about them for a bit... I trust Mummy to keep an eye on them for me, plus Ramses seems to stand guard too! He's turning out to be a big help all in all... I knew he was a good brother from the first time I met him, but I never knew he was this good! :) Tigmut'hep is slowly becoming less grumpy about the kittens, I think this has something to do with Mummy's new slippers - you see Tigs has unnatural feelings for Mummy's slippers and was devastated that she'd thrown the black suede ones out until he found the new ones with the furry lining! ;)

Well here's a photo of my lovely little daughter practising her keep fit and getting some well earned rest at the same time! Note how she's learning to look utterly cute and adorable as well as how to make the most of brotherly mancat heat... :) She really is a peach!

The boys or as they like to be known "The Escape Committee" have been keeping me and Mummy very busy, you see they like to climb over things and for such tiny ickle kittens they're very determined once they've decided to do so! I predict they're going to keep us all very busy in a few more weeks once they've fully mastered the art of walking... Last night one decided to try and chase Uncle Ramses and my poor brother nearly took off vertically and only just missed landing in the water bowl! ;) Please don't tell him that I laughed, but it was so funny to see... :)

The Family Thursday...

Well my little family is growing every day, though I'm so pleased that horrid, nasty wind stopped howling as it was making me feel really panicky and restless... Mummy said it was ok to love the kittens to my play tent last night as I so wanted them to learn to love it the way I do and since I've played Momma cat and ickle baby kittens in there since I was little myself, I thought it would be nice to be able to do it for real now! :)

As you can see from this photo the Paparazzi caught me and the kittens in our new residence, even though I did my best to turn them away... This is one of the issues with being royalty, the Paparazzi follow you everywhere and want to know about everything your doing! At least I'm blessed with exceptional good looks and even after a night of feeding the ickle babies I'm found looking wonderful... As no doubt HRH Yao-Lin has told everyone, there are at least some advantages to having amazing regal good looks! :)

The kittens are growing up fast and Mummy tells me that they'll have their eyes open in about 5 more days time! :) Oh yes they could well have them open in time for St. Patrick's Day and be able to witness Skeezix Irish Dancing before he has too much of that Mothers Milk he so loves! ;)

Oh the indignity of it all...! I was just trying to get through the gap and see what Dad was up to and I got stuck. Yep, I was wedged in place by my bump! :S What's worse is that everyone saw me do it... Front paws waggling in mid air, stuck fast by the belly and in capable of getting myself free! :S Those beastly boy cats actually giggled at me, at least Mummy and Dad came running to my aid fast and moved the patio door to give me room to get free fast! :)

Mummy and Dad seemed a little concerned after my little mishap and spent ages looking at my belly, in the end Dad video taped my belly even! Once he's downloaded it to our computer, I may be able to get Mummy to help me put a video link on my bloggy so you can see the kittens kicking my belly about... ;)

Anyway I see the sun shining on Mummy and Dad's bed, so I can feel the urge to have a comfy sunbath and nap coming on fast! :)

Gosh it seems strange to be pawing what will probably be my last "Tummy Tuesday" for a while, if all goes as planned I'll have myself a litter of ickle baby kittens this time next week and it'll be "Milkbar Monday" or "Titty Tuesday" ;) *giggle*

The kittens are very active at present and my belly has been expanding yet further, much to the delight of my brother Ramses and our housemate Tigmut'hep! Honestly Mancats can be such a pain at times... *humph!* For a start I hear Ramses is planning on catching the Stork when he comes to deliver my kittens, he keeps on about how much meat is on a Stork and how many mancats a single Stork could feed... At least he's promised me a good big of Stork iffen he catches it! :)

Tigmut'hep on the other hand is just making fun of my size and ever increasing appetite! He keeps referring to me as Miss Piggy for a start, but it's what he's done to one of my photos that has me most cross with him... Never fear he's in for a good "bop" as soon as I've had a snooze and a little snack or two! :)

Other than that everything is great here and Mummy and Dad have my kittening box in there room with food, water and litter facilities on hand for me too! :) I made the most of sleeping with Mummy and Dad last night and snuggles against Mummy's feet all night, it was lovely and warm... :)

Totally Cool Fact on , and Thankful Thursday too!!!

Well I learnt something really, really cool today... It seems that both Ramses and I are related to the cats from the American Abyssinian Breeder Tausert's, who played Jake in the 1978 Disney movie "The Cat from Outer Space" - now how cool is that?! Ok so we're talking 12 generations or more ago, but never the less we're both related to cats from this blood line and breeder. Now that's gotta be the cat equivalent of finding out you're related to Clark Gable or similar?!

So not only have I become Royalty this year, but I've found a long lost famous relative too! :) Darn shame I'm not due some of the movie royalties, 'cause I'm sure that'd keep me in 'nip and bikkies for a while... ;)

Now for the other reason Thursday's were created... Yes to be thankful for! :) Today I'm feeling thankful for a few things:

I'm thankful that my ickle baby kittens are growing in my belly, I now weigh 4.2Kg thanks to them getting bigger all the time!
I'm thankful that it's only a little over a week now before I have my ickle kittens...
I'm very thankful for big dinners, breakfasts and lunch as being pregnant makes you very hungry!
I'm thankful that Dad's getting better slowly, but surely - 'cause he's ben a dreadful sofa hog all week!
I'm thankful that the boy keeps leaving his bedroom door open 'cause I like it in his room!
I'm so thankful that Mummy bought me a zoom groom last weekend! :)
I'm thankful that I've had a pawdicure - this means I won't need one for weeks to come! ;)
I'm thankful that I have a wonderful Lady in Waiting and friend in Miss Peach and I hope she knows that I loves her lots! :)
I'm additionally thankful for having inspirational ladycats as some of my friends, like Princess and Storm!
I'm very thankful for being awarded an award for Blogging Excellence from Mindy and Moe at Team Tabby! :)
I'm thankful that I can pass this wonderful award on to Daisy as I find her Fashion Friday's inspiring and just love her Sunday Cartoons! :)
I'm also thankful to Kimo and Sabi for teaching me lots about Bean Kittens, so I'm passing them the award too! :)
Lastly I'm extremely thankful that Tigmut'hep doesn't like cat milk or yoghurt, 'cause I can eat them in peace and I love them both! ;)

Tummy Tuesday...

Today is my second to last Tummy Tuesday before the kittens are due! Isn't that just amazing... :) In just 2 more weeks I'll have a litter of ickle baby Abys all lined up at my milk bar feeding their lovely little faces on the good stuff! ;)

I just hope that by then Dad's stopped trying to explode his own face and that he doesn't make Mummy sick in the mean time! A sick Mummy this close to my having kittens would be BAD! :(

Today Mummy's gone through her list of stuff to have ready for the kittens birth and/or just after it. Most of the stuff is now in a big bag on the table downstairs ready for Mummy to bring up here! She's also made a fleece cover for my new heating pad, a little washable mattress for the kittens so they can be comfy when she weighs them twice a day and a blanket to use as a backdrop for kitten photos... All I've done while watching Mummy be busy was lay on my back and show her my belly as it moved thanks to little paws pushing at me! ;)

Mummy also bought me some interesting looking new kitty litter that soaks up kitty pee totally and doesn't smell at all. She says it's non tracking too, so that's what I'll have in my upstairs little litter box when the kittens arrive. This will save me having to leave the kittens to go to the litter box, I'll even get my dinners served to me up here! I'm starting to think I'm getting better treatment than ladybeans get when they have people kittens... ;)

Having Dad home sick with Manflu has had one benefit, he found a lot of my little feather butt mice for me under the sofa! Plus I think he could be persuaded to get my zoom groom out and give me a good grooming if I ask him often enough, though I'd settle for him opening my bikky pot again too! ;) It seems Mummy finks there's a downside to my having lotsa feather butt mice again, I'm not sure why? I only wanted to show her 1 or 2 at 3am and play with them in bed between her legs so they didn't escape again! ;)

Two Weeks and Two Days!

Well it's not long to go now, 'til I have a lovely litter of ickle baby kittens to love and clean! As you can see I'm looking rather wonderful and still enjoying posing for lots of photos, as well as playing with my brother Ramses or that grump Tigmut'hep! ;)

I've not gained any more weight this week, but Mummy says my waistline is looking more bulgy! Honestly Mummy yours would too iffen you had a belly full of kittens, especially as they're starting to move a bit now... Just nice gentle reassuring movements, nothing scary like in that movie Alien! ;)

Mummy says I can now count the days until my kittens are here on my paw pads, since Tuesday I've counted off the two dewclaws and am now starting to count off the toe pads of my back left paw - I've been checking the paw every few hours to make sure I still have the same number of toe pads on it! ;) On Monday next week I will start counting off the toe pads on my back right paw... By this time next week I'll be able to start on my left front paw, once I've counted that one off daily and am on my right front paw the kittens could come any time! :) Mummy has warned me that they could be a few days late even so not to get myself worried iffen they like it in the warmth for an extra day or two... ;) Anyway it's not long now! :)

Oh and last night Mummy came home with some new scales for weighing the kittens on! :) She has to weigh them straight after they are born and then twice a day every day for the first few weeks to make sure they're thriving and drinking up all their milk like good ickle kittens should! Once they're a few weeks old, Mummy will only have to weigh them every 2-3 days just to make sure they continue to grow nicely... Next week on "Tummy Tuesday" I'll be going through her list of things she will or might need for the kitten birth with her and seeing if she's remembered it all! Oh yes I'm keeping a close eye on everything from warming pads to kitten feeding bottles... It's surprising how much preparation is needed to make sure everything goes smoothly for me and the kittens, but it does mean that unless it's a real emergency I shouldn't need to see my Vet man, Hubert or even Sally Vet at out emergency vets! :)

Now I fink it's time for a nap before I start asking for my lunch... ;) Oh yes and I'm seeing someone else one of my kittens might own on Saturday morning! :) Plus Mummy'll be going to a cat show this weekend and might come home with treats and toys for us all!

Give kitty so much trust
